So the question is. Can I contact JTAC while flying the A-10A? Will be cool to use the simplier A version with the JTAC.

This would be nice to see. I can't imagine the JTAC routine would be difficult to port over (TurboHog did it with the Ka-50), though I think the fix would need to come from ED, as I couldn't port the features given the current A-10A LUA files.

 

Sure, we wouldn't have SADL, but we could get smoke/WP and sparkle to go with a verbal 9-line.

Might be more difficult than it probably looks like. The FC3 aircrafts cockpits are not lua scripted but the JTAC logic depends on scripted radios. Afaik radios of FC3 a/c are handled directly by the .DLL where we as modders can not squeeze in between. So, yeah, probably ED would have to prepare something there first.

Would it be possible to know how they do or is that exclusive to regulars?

My Specs:

Win 10 Pro 64bit/ i7 6770K 4.5Ghz/32GB DDR4/ GTX 1070 SC/Samsung SSD

Warthog Stick/TWCS Throttle/TrackIR 5

Good point, Sith,

 

I've put a predator up circling the area and used the F10 menu to "fire WP" at the target. You can also use F10 to display 9-line data, including coordinates (though coordinates are much less useful in the A).

 

One thing I like to do in A-10A compatible missions is put the bullseye at the target waypoint and then make the position in the F10 menu be listed as range and bearing to bullseye (so point to point navigation could be performed with the HSI).
