Female pilot voice?

Is there any chance we can have a female voice for 'your' pilot please?

Actually you have "chance" about it. I mean you can record a female voice according to existed sounds.

 

I think there was a mod about this (search in DCS Mods sub-forum), but for Ka-50 wingman, if I'm not wrong. Maybe you can use it in anyway.

It would be a nice option, you might want to put it in the DCS Wishlist section. Lock On had a female voice for wingman 4 on the English speaking sides, but when the new voices were made it was done away with.

If someone would send me a script of voice commands my wife would gladly record them for DCS. She is ex-military and knows radio chatter (ex-cop as well).

You can guess the scripts from file names.

If they are just audio files you could use one of the free audio manipulation programs to make them sound female. I use audacity (it's free) to record and alter audio files sometimes.

I just looked at the number of files that would need conversion for just the pilot and all I can say is someone would have to have an extremely strong desire for a new voice to be willing to re-do all of those :wacko: or.....a good marketing plan to offer the mod for sale. Hmmmmm, now that's a thought.:idea:

The "Player" sounds folder contains about six minutes worth of audio (twice that if you include the Russian version). It would take a pro about 30 minutes to record that. On a bad day, an amateur could get through it in a couple of hours.

 

Honestly, if someone were to record the full player script as a single long audio file, I would edit it and pack it into its proper folder structure. I edit audio books for a living, so it would be no problem.

Someone had a bitching betty female mod out awhile back ..... but she sounded like a pain in the arse so I didn't install it .

 

Be nice to get a female European betty ..... English accented in Spanish , Italian or French .

Sounds like a plan shaping up here. I would pay to have an authentic female voice for ATC. I think it would soothe my nerves before one of those demanding combat missions. You copy this Ranger?

I don't see why we can't have a female pilot voice in the game. Although, there are not that many females that play this game but that shouldn't stop the game having a choice.

I never checked it out, but found it after spokejockey's post. It was created by using Google voice for the speech so I imagine it did sound that way.
