Not sure what's been going on.

I really love this MOD: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=100830&highlight=yellow+canopy

Within this dir: \Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\Mods\aircrafts\A-10C\Cockpit\Resources\Model\Textures

I add this file: A-10C-glass-REFLECT.dds into: A_10C_C_EDM_TEX.zip using 7-zip.

I fire up some missions, and all is good. Then after a few days, I come back, and notice the MOD is no longer there. Looking into the A_10C_C_EDM_TEX.zip I notice the original .dds file is back in place. So I follow the same routine, and re-install, and I'm good to go again.

It's done this at least 3 times. Is a mini DCS update push, or something, that re-establishes the original file? I'm a bit puzzled.

TIA,

-Jav

Not sure what's going on there...

But to prevent it from happening you can create a folder with the same name as the zip file in the same directory as the zip. Just put the dds in there and it should override what's in the zip.

I can't guess whether this will help the OP or not, but it is certainly a better way to manage a mod that only changes a tiny part of a zip file.

Pretty neat mod, like the way it looks.

Repackaged it in JSGME if you want/need it.

If you installed DCS under Steam, you will have to reinstall any mod after every update of DCS provided by Steam. Applies also to DCS World installations outside Steam, if autoupdate is active.

Hello,

Yes this Mod is necessary for our awesome cockpit from Ricardo and each time that you upgrade your DCS you must open the A_10C_C_EDM_TEX.zip and drop A-10C-glass-REFLECT.dds

Since I have this Mod I have no problem...

Bye, Skull.

1/2 of DCS modules came via Steam, the other 1/2 were purchased from ED/DCS direct, (via the winter sale).

thanks for the heads up.
