Witchking Posted February 27, 2006 Posted February 27, 2006 Hi ED, check out this new japanese arcade sim for xbox 360. I think its good for the sheer amount of capabilities added in it. I mean the gfx look pretty bland like undetailed textures etc...but I prefer the high contrast low satutration style of colours. This coupled with that small ppl walking on the deck and runway bases will definately make a sim more....REAL.. As I say...Its all about the immersion. LOMAC has a good gfx engine ....we just need the immersion with little elements. anyways do check out the followig trailers at gametrailers. see overg trailer. wait for a while to show the su 27. . http://www.gametrailers.com/ cheers, AV WHISPR | Intel I7 5930K | Nvidia GTX980 4GB GDDR5 | 16GB DDR4 | Intel 730 series 512GB SSD | Thrustmaster WARTHOG | CH Pro Pedals | TrackIR4 pro | |A-10C|BS2 |CA|P-51 MUSTANG|UH-1H HUEY|MI-8 MTV2 |FC3|F5E|M2000C|AJS-37|FW190|BF 109K|Mig21|A-10:SSC,EWC|L-39|NEVADA|
GVO Posted February 27, 2006 Posted February 27, 2006 Yeah, that's one thing I really miss, especially on a carrier. But the sequence in that game didn't look like it was taken in-game. But if it was, oh damn!
Hawg11 Posted February 27, 2006 Posted February 27, 2006 link to the vid http://www.gametrailers.com/player.php?id=9496&pl=game&type=wmv I still think Lock-on's graphics are better. lock-On definitely renders distance MUCH further away. Judging by the distance rendering, the graphics in the above pics are more akin to F22 Raptor than to Lo-MAc. Dave "Hawg11" St. Jean

Pilotasso Posted February 27, 2006 Posted February 27, 2006 tiny media window. Cant realy say how much refined the graphics are. Too litle cocpit action too. I cant judge this SIM but I dont believe its realy any tother thing than arcade game. .
Animalmother Posted February 27, 2006 Posted February 27, 2006 looks like a cool game. and I do like the contrast. Too bad its for the 360.
Witchking Posted February 28, 2006 Author Posted February 28, 2006 as I meant it to be.....The concept of having more immersion is what we are talking about. Consider this....Its better to have washed out gfx like this with more fearures like a deck crew, soldiers on ground etx... rather than have insanely high detailed models and textures. I know it is hard to get the color right but MSFS looks pretty darn good. And the color in the 2nd pic looks FANTASIC!

I do agree with you there. All I know is that I want to fly the BlackShark through the 3D environment of Project Gotham3. MonnieRock Posted February 28, 2006 Posted February 28, 2006 Pretty good for what you are getting. It's a game not a simulator. Might be fun to just try out. Anything flight related is in my book. It can only help the flight simulator world. Better than some FPS Maybe I am just a rock and roll head, but good music too Dual Core Poll Please Vote Rack Rig: Rosewill RSV-L4000 | Koolance ERM-3K3UC | Xeon E5-1680 v2 @ 4.9ghz w/EK Monoblock | Asus Rampage IV Black Edition | 64GB 2133mhz | SLI TitanXP w/ EK Waterblocks | 2x Samsung 970 EVO Plus 1TB | Seasonic 1000w Titanium | Windows 10 Pro 64bit | TM Warthog HOTAS w/40cm Extension | MFG Crosswind Rudders | Obutto R3volution | HP Reverb

It always reminded me of 9th grade and driving to school listening to Van Halen's Fair Warning album. Over and Over and Over hehehe :icon_supe Still wearing our seat belts officer !!!
