Maximus_Lazarus Posted June 7, 2014 Posted June 7, 2014 It's pretty broken, but a pretty important feature as well . Has ED ever commented on it ? [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Maximus_Lazarus Posted June 21, 2014 Author Posted June 21, 2014 PLEASE fix the tracks ED ! Just had awesome run in with guy that wanted to kamikaze me after i splashed him , he tried TWICE ! I want to see it but ... of course, ... the track is CORRUPTED> A google search will tell us that it's been years that tracks have no longer been working , 75% of them fail  Why is nobody trying to fix ? It's important feature for many of us, it somehow feels more important than the millionth WW2 plane  [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Boberro Posted June 21, 2014 Posted June 21, 2014 Replay will never work as it should be. Replay just repeats movements, where there is difference in FPS, it will corrupt after while - especially in heavy environment it can be broken just after 5 minuts since it started. It is not movie :) Reminder: Fighter pilots make movies. Bomber pilots make... HISTORY! :D | Also to be remembered: FRENCH TANKS HAVE ONE GEAR FORWARD AND FIVE BACKWARD :D ಠ_ಠ ツ
Maximus_Lazarus Posted June 21, 2014 Author Posted June 21, 2014 Replays worked fine in the past. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Vedexent Posted June 21, 2014 Posted June 21, 2014 Replay doesn't record positions and states of everything. It records commands fed into each of the units. It literally is re-playing, using the recorded inputs, and feeding them back into units in a different play-through of the game. If there are rounding errors, or calculation differences, or just plain different versions between recording system and playing systems, you can get radically divergent results. If you want an actual recording, then I suggest you record your video signal and/or invest in Tacview. For ED to change the playback system, they would have to literally build it from scratch.
Maximus_Lazarus Posted June 22, 2014 Author Posted June 22, 2014 Well, i think i know what went wrong in my track THIS time. I was taxi-ing with one engine, while the other engine was spooling up. I remember having to compensate pretty roughly to keep from going off the taxi-way. This is where the track failed. Lessons learned sofar concerning tracks : Don't taxi with one engine Don't alternate with S on and off too much while taxi-ing Don't taxi more than needed. Don't taxi close to grass. Don't fly close to ground when not needed. Don't land/take off on edge of runway Don't use small rudder inputs when taxi-ing. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Boberro Posted June 23, 2014 Posted June 23, 2014 Replays worked fine in the past. When and how if it is just re-play style of inputs, not really replay as we understand. Reminder: Fighter pilots make movies. Bomber pilots make... HISTORY! :D | Also to be remembered: FRENCH TANKS HAVE ONE GEAR FORWARD AND FIVE BACKWARD :D ಠ_ಠ ツ

=Mac= Posted June 23, 2014 Posted June 23, 2014 The new GeForce cards have Shadow Play. Is there any plans to cuddle up with nVidia to get DCS to be recorded via Shadow Play? NFS Shift 2 works great recorded by it. My two cards really aren't working much for DCS so recording with Shadow Play is invisible for me. I do have lots of RAM and a SSD that it records to, but that's a given. Shadow Play in the future for us? The Hornet is best at killing things on the ground. Now, if we could just get a GAU-8 in the nose next to the AN/APG-65, a titanium tub around the pilot, and a couple of J-58 engines in the tail...
