Ndest Posted June 21, 2014 Posted June 21, 2014 (edited) First I would like to say Hello to this community :D of this amazing sim. However I'm here to talk about a very important subject. So reading through the Forums I have struck something that hurts my insides, Third Parties will be treated as Paid Mods with their separate activation methods (etc) and not be a part of ED Store In my opinion this is just awful, both to DCS World and ED and the Third Parties software. Ed should come up with a user voting system and then further ED confirmation of good quality for 3 Party modules for the store. I hope everyone realizes the trouble we will have by having to manual install modules even thought we dont own but we want to see them in Multiplayer. It's just bad in all senses. Look at this post:http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=114517 Edited June 22, 2014 by Ndest

Its up to the 3rd Party to decide if they want to be in the store, I am sure its an agreement with ED, but by no means is their anything that says that 3rd Parties wont be in the ED Store. Ndest Posted June 22, 2014 Author Posted June 22, 2014 (edited) Im sorry i forgot to add the source to where i got this information, take a look at this thread http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=114517 Page 2, VEAO Member says and i quote: "It's not only VEAO that have got this problem. It's *all* the 3rd party developers. Difference to BST: They are ED Partners." Edited June 22, 2014 by Ndest
cichlidfan Posted June 22, 2014 Posted June 22, 2014 That was for a mod that is still unreleased. That information, as it pertains to the Hawk, is no longer valid. Paganus Posted June 22, 2014 Posted June 22, 2014 From the Leatherneck website... The DCS: MiG-21bis will initially be available from the Eagle Dynamics Storefront and possibly on the STEAM distribution platform. http://www.leatherneck-sim.com/dcs-mig-21/ So far, it's a non-issue...
Ndest Posted June 22, 2014 Author Posted June 22, 2014 Ohh I see, then there will be no issues, Anyways, I think ED show rebuild their website for something more modern and Intuitive, such as the GUI in DCS World. It is kind of intimidating for newcomers.

It is kind of intimidating for newcomers. As it should :devil_2: Seriously, though, it may not be slick but I think it's pretty efficient. The layout is classic, in a good way. Everything is easily reachable. Having it match the game GUI would be nice, indeed. In fact, maybe the whole concept lacks a strong visual identity. But are they looking for such a thing? Dunno.
