TigersharkBAS Posted July 22, 2014 Posted July 22, 2014 Still in its infancy and the price would need to drop drastically but this is an exciting idea and development. Quite ingenious. MacFevre Posted July 22, 2014 Posted July 22, 2014 Besides the assembly, wonder what the difference between this, and say, a regular ink-jet printer using conductive ink instead of regular ink. You could probably even fill an empty cartridge with conductive ink and do a test. I don't have any idea what I'm talking about though, so that might be a ridiculous trial, but it looks about the same. For $3k, it's worth a shot! agrasyuk Posted July 23, 2014 Posted July 23, 2014 the only thing i see going for this contraption is that it places some elements for 100% complete circuits. it still remains to be seen how well this glue holds over time though. for now toner transfer (or paint removal by hobby laser) and etch look much more solid for hobby purposes to me. Mr_Burns Posted August 6, 2014 Posted August 6, 2014 Printers are still shit, its like we are going backwards, or the cynic in me sees that Epson either make cheap ink and expensive printers or cheap printers and expensive ink. Its XX year old technology I am still running out of ink FFS. Something tells me a monopoly is at work in the printer world. Hopefully stuff like this will break that monopoly - even if it isnt printing circuit boards.
