Maler Posted November 27, 2014 Posted November 27, 2014 regarding the pilot and oxygen mask...its hard to say from those pics, but it seems as this pilot is also wearing a german uniform? yes sure with custom skins, swastikas can be added...but in dcs its even simpler if you insist on a swastika, then just add a "s" to one of the files of the skin and thats it... In K4 technology has changed a bit with a swastika. Now it is a separate texture. Enabled or disabled in the description. "Screw you guys, i'm going home."
9.JG27 DavidRed Posted November 27, 2014 Posted November 27, 2014 (edited) Yep David, I think our perception is sharpest when it comes to reading faces, it's where we're the hardest to fool. Goggles and mask are an intelligent (and historically accurate) way to maneuver arround that difficulty in simulation. MAC very true, ive not thought about this aspect! very clever indeed In K4 technology has changed a bit with a swastika. Now it is a separate texture. Enabled or disabled in the description. interesting, what else do you know more than us Maler? EDIT: btw, if someone has any knowledge about K4s used in Austria during 44-45, then please share your knowledge: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=134558 Edited November 27, 2014 by 9./JG27 DavidRed
Maler Posted November 27, 2014 Posted November 27, 2014 interesting, what else do you know more than us Maler? A lot of things))) But not say anything. NDA))) Someone has photos and Image captured K4 allies? With painted markings. "Screw you guys, i'm going home."

313_Nevo Posted November 27, 2014 Posted November 27, 2014 why it is good idea to toggle on/off the visibility of flare gun? because for people not using trackir or any other similar hw it makes spotting the gauges little bit harder (and the same applies to stick/throttle). Btw and maybe because pilots had the flare gun attached to their flying suits (who knows): http://leuchtpistole.free.fr/Sommaire/En_Photos.html
SlipBall Posted November 27, 2014 Posted November 27, 2014 I doubt that many pilots left the gun there that blocks the view...I would have worn it on my body, down by my ankle as seen above
9.JG27 DavidRed Posted November 27, 2014 Posted November 27, 2014 @Nevo yes if you read back a couple of pages you will see that i am also of the opinion that we should be able to toggle off the flare gun...why?because pilots could do so in RL as well...and as you pointed out, it covers important gauges, levers. but stick and throttle dont really cover any gauges and were probably not attached to the pilots suits...or who knows? :)
Kurfürst Posted November 27, 2014 Posted November 27, 2014 Probably too late to change anyway. http://www.kurfurst.org - The Messerschmitt Bf 109 Performance Resource Site Vezérünk a bátorság, Kísérőnk a szerencse! -Motto of the RHAF 101st 'Puma' Home Air Defense Fighter Regiment The Answer to the Ultimate Question of the K-4, the Universe, and Everything: Powerloading 550 HP / ton, 1593 having been made up to 31th March 1945, 314 K-4s were being operated in frontline service on 31 January 1945.
9.JG27 DavidRed Posted November 27, 2014 Posted November 27, 2014 ^^its never too late! everything is subject to change isnt always a bad thing :)
MiloMorai Posted November 27, 2014 Posted November 27, 2014 When there is no ammo left the pilot could take pot shots at enemy a/c out the flare chute with his Walther P-38 or Luger.
313_Nevo Posted November 27, 2014 Posted November 27, 2014 David, maybe in 109 they dont cover anything, but in P51 for example throttle does. but this is not discussion for 109 thread.. o.... over and out (see you in wish list) ;)
9.JG27 DavidRed Posted November 27, 2014 Posted November 27, 2014 ^^yes P51's throttle covers quite an important gauge...but even trackir doesnt help in that case :) its just what it is and also a RL pilot has to live with that fact/disadvantage i suppose.
ED Team NineLine Posted November 27, 2014 Author ED Team Posted November 27, 2014 Probably too late to change anyway. Maybe for the release, but could be fixed later. I didnt get a chance to check it out last night, hoping to tonight. Forum Rules • My YouTube • My Discord - NineLine#0440• **How to Report a Bug**
