VTJS17_Fire Posted August 1, 2014 Posted August 1, 2014 Hi, I want to deactivate the sounds for communication by the ingame Tower and ATC for some squadron missions. For normal playing (public for instance), the sounds should be functional. I know, that I can disable the Comm Option in the ME (see picture). But when I unhook these option, I can't communicate with the Ground Crew, too. Is there a solution, besides deleting the sound files in my DCS folder (and doing a backup) for every squadron mission? VTJS17_Fire Posted August 11, 2014 Author Posted August 11, 2014 Hi, I tried the different modes of the "receive mode", but I still hear the Tower/ ATC. karambiatos Posted August 11, 2014 Posted August 11, 2014 Hi, I tried the different modes of the "receive mode", but I still hear the Tower/ ATC. Any other ideas? regards, Fire If you set the radio on just player communication, you shouldnt recieve anything. other than that, you can delete the files from the game A 1000 flights, a 1000 crashes, perfect record. =&arrFilter_pf[gameversion]=&arrFilter_pf[filelang]=&arrFilter_pf[aircraft]=&arrFilter_DATE_CREATE_1_DAYS_TO_BACK=&sort_by_order=TIMESTAMP_X_DESC"] Check out my random mods and things
Ninefingers Posted August 11, 2014 Posted August 11, 2014 For example you can add 0.500Mhz to the original tower frequency in every airbase you are using human control. No more AI ATC. 127.000 = 127.500 in your mission My TM Warthog DIY extension tutorial C2Duo E8600 @ 4.4Ghz. | Asus Rampage Formula X48 | MSI GTX 560Ti OC | 8Gb.Corsair DDR2 RAM @ 1103Mhz. | Crucial M4 128Gb. VTJS17_Fire Posted August 12, 2014 Author Posted August 12, 2014 Ok, thanks. Can I still use the Ground Crew for rearming/ refueling with that different frequencies or do they affect the communication with the Ground Crew? And: Where do I change the Tower frequencies (folder/file)? Or do you mean the frequency of the client aircraft in the ME? Thanks in advance, regards Fire Sure, you can use the Intercom with no problems. You will publish the tower frecuencies for the airbases in service (for human flights= Original Tower + .500Mhz F.E.), together with all the other frecuencies prebriefed for that fight, in the mission briefing and these are the ones everyone uses in his airplane. This is what we do in our squad. We use to add .500Mhz to every airbase frecuency for multiplayer flights. That way you have no sounds in your radios from the original simulation. Nobody need to touch any folder. So, where should I change the frequency? Could you give me a hint (Screenshot)? best regards, Fire Hardware: Intel i5 4670K | Zalman NPS9900MAX | GeIL 16GB @1333MHz | Asrock Z97 Pro4 | Sapphire Radeon R9 380X Nitro | Samsung SSDs 840 series 120GB & 250 GB | Samsung HD204UI 2TB | be quiet! diveplane Posted August 12, 2014 Posted August 12, 2014 Have you tried using the receive mode for radio? cycle this mode in-cockpit for various choices of radio comms wow I never knew we had that feauture. https://www.youtube.com/user/diveplane11 DCS Audio Modding.
Ninefingers Posted August 12, 2014 Posted August 12, 2014 (edited) Oppss ! Sorry, I just realize you where doing use of the plane's radios with one of the 3rd partyes software. Whith just Ts3 comms, I have no idea about how to do that... :( Anyway the best way to have correct realistic comms in your squadron flights and override that ploblem you have is to install Aries, or Tars. You will never go back ;) Rgds Edited August 12, 2014 by Ninefingers My TM Warthog DIY extension tutorial C2Duo E8600 @ 4.4Ghz. | Asus Rampage Formula X48 | MSI GTX 560Ti OC | 8Gb.Corsair DDR2 RAM @ 1103Mhz. | Crucial M4 128Gb. VTJS17_Fire Posted August 13, 2014 Author Posted August 13, 2014 We normally used TARS, but with the lack of a new, compatible version for the latest TS3, we can't use it anymore. :( Ok, maybe it's time to test Ariescon ...
