wolle Posted August 9, 2014 Posted August 9, 2014 Both the Dora and the Sabre came out without a campaign or interactive training. Why? I hope the answer is that they will be added soon. Maybe they are holding out on making those because once EDGE comes out missions designed in the older engine will be obsolete. In any case, my point is: interactive training missions are very helpful for new pilots to learn, and campaigns are fun. Would be a bummer if future modules wouldn't come with either... wolle Posted August 9, 2014 Author Posted August 9, 2014 Beta releases, in both cases. True, but both the Huey and Mi8 had interactive training in the first beta release, and the Huey even had a campaign. Flagrum Posted August 9, 2014 Posted August 9, 2014 Training missions ... yes, should be included imo. But a campaign? Keep in mind that i.e. the Dora was and is meant to be part in DCS WWII. Either there will be a campaign one day ... or it will be perhaps more MP focussed. But I would not necessarily expect a whole campaign for every WWII warbird.
Flagrum Posted August 9, 2014 Posted August 9, 2014 they said that it will be released at late 2014!!! No, they didn't say that.
Meteor2 Posted August 9, 2014 Posted August 9, 2014 Yes, please add the interactive training soon. I am really missing it.

fastfreddie Posted August 10, 2014 Posted August 10, 2014 Maybe a walk through video of the cockpit (radio, radiator, other gauges/buttons) would be nice and a tutorial of bombing ground targets would help but other than that the already released videos are pretty good. This isn't a Ka50 or A10c with complicated subsystems and I really don't expect any great campaigns till the Normandy map, B17, or ground units are finished.
NeilWillis Posted August 10, 2014 Posted August 10, 2014 There are start up, take off, and landing videos for the Fw190. What more do you need? As was previously said, it is a very simple procedure to start the plane from cold and dark. It hardly warrants any form of training when there are so few steps to get airborne. Maybe you'd have preferred to wait another month to get hold of the module, so the devs could provide a complete package? It has been said that Belsimtek are less worried about providing the whole module from day one than the other third party devs. We get what we get, if you want more, then you'll simply have to wait.
