Here comes a new skin for the Dora.

Still work in progress atm :)

 

 

 

 

Hope to get this done in a couple of days ...

Unfortunately skinning prevents from flying and so i think i am going to release this bird even if there were some small issues left and it might not be 100% historical correct.

Going to fix them later ...

 

Does anybody know why there is still no Doraskin at EDs userfiles ?

I thought that at least the one mainstay released should be up jet.

Or does it take so long for ED to approve ???

Just curious about the red lines visible from the underside of the wings suggest that certain seams were painted with red primer. Is there a reference for that? Just curious.

I'd say that in real life such primer would be applied directly on the bare metal, while your skin suggests that the primer was painted along the seams of an otherwise already painted wing. :) Maybe the underside of the wing should be bare metal?

According to Jerry Crandall's awesome Dora book vol.1 it was indeed "Blue 12", not black, and undersurfaces were partly bare metal. I can take better quality scan of profile and profile notes if you want.
