I've gone through all the threads I could find on the subject...still can't make heads or tails outta it...some say it does work, some say it doesn't????.on "MY" install ,with a logitech FFB stick ,it diffenately doesn't work! No matter how I map them on the stick, POV,separate buttons, throttle or ANY axis,...Nothing seems to happen when setting trim.

Could someone from the DEV section do a sticky to resolve this issue once and for all.Its really difficult to determine wheather or not theres a problem with my set up...or theirs??

Also...aren't we supposed to see the enemy type when padlocking using "fight" mode in the bottom of the screen??We USED to see it in 102??How are we supposed to tell friend from foe without proper forward air control giving us a picture of the battlefield. Was it removed,or was it broken in 1.12a?

i have trim mapped to a HAT on my stick, works just fine here...

So ALL Russian aircraft can be mapped for trim correct?I've tried the hat mapping and the only axis mapped for the stick are pitch ,rudder, roll.Still no go.

These are some things to check.

Make sure you change the trim axis to "axis" rather than "slider". Or try vice versa if it doesn't work. Slider doesn't work for my saitek and I have to use axis.

If you have more than one controller connected to your computer, make sure axis and button assignments are all cleared for controllers you're not using. For example, I have gamepad which I use for other games and some of its axis and buttons were assigned to flight controls. Which conflicted with my Saitek joystick. Same goes for mouse.

If you have joystick with toggle switch, make sure it's not set to continous in your profiler. For longest time, I couldn't figure out why some of my joystick buttons were acting erratically. It turned out that I mapped Shift+B and ctrl+B (for brakes) on aux switch and they were set to continous. Basically it was holding down ctrl+B.

If you have profiler for your joystick, try turning it off and assign trim to the axis.

axis trim dont work for 25/25t

you have to set buttons for the 25/25t for trim or set for one of the hat switches.

the rotarys can be used for all other aircraft.

i presume you have saitek x45/52 or other joystick with rotarys and hats

Naw,..what I have is a combination of suncom split throttle and stick system, coupled with the logitech force feed back. The suncom is in strickly a keyboard emulation mode(no axis defined)so theoretically,I should have trim as I did in 102.I also find it strange that theres a "gap" in the key presses for thrust.First presses are small increments ,then it takes a jump at about 50% setting and then back to small increments at the final stage at about 80-90 to100%.Gonna experiment today by uninstalling and reinstallin and test keyboard only ...too see if it was an install error.Let ya'all know what happens.:horseback

What does respond your A/C mean?

Not "respond". "Respawn". It means to start again with a new aircraft. (A/C = aircraft) Simply put, it means to hit the RCVR button. (Recover)

Guys, has anyone found anything solid with this?

I seem to at random lose the ability to trim any aircraft (using hat or rotary, aircraft dependant). I only play online, sometimes trim won't work. Getting shot down and recovering brings back the trim. However sometimes trim control gets lost.

Has anyone found a solution at all?
