Hi mates,

I think that ED changes to much in DCS with regards to sim communication

with external equipment. It's always something that gets broken in regards

to input/output with Helios or other software hardware used by simmers.

They should set a standard for IO and keep it in order to facilitate ease of

use for people building simulator hardware/cockpits.

As of now I'm thinking of leaving DCS all together even though a lot of

modules sits on my PC. I will build my simulator for BMS Falcon instead

since it's not changing the IO. Not as nice but it works.

regards

I'm not really sure what you mean here. I know that ED recently changed the way keyboard setups are stored (correct me if I am wrong.) In the last 14 months that I have been building a pit I have never had a problem with DCS upgrading.

The export.lua procedures have not changed which means Helios should still be working for you. Once or twice I had to set up Helios again since the updater replaced the export.lua but even then it is only clicking 1 button. I don't know what problems you are experiencing. Perhaps a clean install of DCSW would help.

So you haven't noticed outputs changing or stop working then?

Right so it can be on my side then but on gadrocs site for Helios

there are more people experiencing VHF/UHF commands and output

not working any more.

Oh well, I'll keep trying for a while but I'm reluctant to go through the

procedure of a reinstall.

Disregard my post,

It's just me that's not doing things as they should be done

I need to read the later threads on where things are and the syntax of it :book:

Sorry for making folks upset.

Good job you found something. Radio frequencies may no work since I do remember some posts about it but I'm sure it can be fixed.

Please post here if you find a solution for the issues with A-10 radio frecuencies and Helios

the only reason mine stops working is because the updates restore the original cockpit scripts for the devices / viewports. (CMSP, etc).

I just copy/paste them back from the /Backup.xx/ folder and everything continues to work.

I never used the radio knobs, but I think they've been goofed for a while now.

Seeing as Helios only works with the KA-50 and A-10C, I dont usually run it all the time anymore, it's nice to have my 4th screen for the MFDs and stuff, but when I switch aircraft slots, it becomes useless and a waste of power/space.

Well if I could educate myself enough to understand Helios interface

it should be possible to use it for the other planes aswell by creating

new interfaces.
