streakeagle Posted September 22, 2014 Posted September 22, 2014 I have no use for a 2nd key at the moment, but I have made good on my word of buying a brand new key at full price to help compensate Leatherneck Simulations for finishing the MiG-21bis and doing a spectacular job. I hope this module proves to be popular and makes Leatherneck enough money that they choose to continue delivering DCS modules of this quality and genre. I can't wait to see what is next in their future plans. 4 [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
T0x1s Posted September 22, 2014 Posted September 22, 2014 Nice of you. Wish i could spend some extra money to give a friend a key. The mig is worth every penny. If you dont mid i can trade Su 25 and A 10A or something else for the mig if you dont have anything to do with your second key :) (Sorry if this kind of question is not allowed here)
Dolphin887 Posted September 22, 2014 Posted September 22, 2014 Thank you for support streakeagle, we sincerely appreciate it. Best regards. Power through superb knowledge, training and teamwork. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
streakeagle Posted September 23, 2014 Author Posted September 23, 2014 I have all DCS keys, so trading is not so useful. I have two intentions for this key: 1) Whenever I get around to building a new PC, using this key (plus purchasing all other keys a 2nd time) to build another fully licensed DCS installation. 2) Giving it to an interested friend/relative. #1 depends on whenever a newer, significantly better, reasonably priced system becomes available compared to my present Core i5 system. #2 is unlikely, as the only person I know besides myself that will even fly DCS is my nephew. But he prefers playing xBox games online with his friends as opposed to being a full-fledged flight sim nerd. A long time ago in a forum far, far away... flight simmers were discussing the fact that they would gladly pay $100 for a sim that met their needs rather than $30-$50 for something that falls far short. I have put my money where my mouth is with all of my DCS purchases and now a double buy on the MiG-21bis to make up for the fact that the backer money didn't really do squat for the final Leatherneck product. I don't know if I will be able to afford any and all DCS releases. But at the present rate of new releases, I can easily keep up. I love the planned releases by ED and all the 3rd parties. I hope they all come to be available with the quality that ED, Belsimtek, and Leatherneck have established. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
theGozr Posted September 23, 2014 Posted September 23, 2014 If they fix/update it and run smoothly ......it will be very popular :) Fly it like you stole it..

We'll be here for sure; and I don't think you'll be disappointed with what we have up our sleeve. :) Nicholas Dackard Founder & Lead Artist Heatblur Simulations https://www.facebook.com/heatblur/
T0x1s Posted September 23, 2014 Posted September 23, 2014 Good choice Sir. Maybe in future with two systems with DCS you and your nephew will be flying a multi crew aircraft :)
ClearDark Posted September 23, 2014 Posted September 23, 2014 A noble act indeed but why posting an entire thread about it?
Aginor Posted September 23, 2014 Posted September 23, 2014 To inspire others to do the same, for example. Dunno. Doesn't do any harm. DCSW weapons cheat sheet speed cheat sheet
Sceptre Posted September 23, 2014 Posted September 23, 2014 A noble act indeed but why posting an entire thread about it? Why not? bart Posted September 23, 2014 Posted September 23, 2014 Well, I think it's a great thread and well done Streakeagle. Supporting a noble cause is always a good thing and worth talking about. streakeagle Posted September 23, 2014 Author Posted September 23, 2014 Making a specific thread makes sure the developers get the message loud and clear instead of lost in the many other "thank you' threads. I saw many posts that claimed they would buy a key to support Leatherneck for honoring the backer keys and sticking with the project... I could not find a single thread where anyone acknowledged making good on it. So, if you promised to buy another key in support of Leatherneck despite already getting a key as an Indigo backer, this is the place to let Leatherneck know you are good for your word. 1 [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
SilentGun Posted September 23, 2014 Posted September 23, 2014 I'll take a key :smilewink: I wish I hade the money to buy more than one key but dcs is so expensive Link to my Imgur screenshots and motto http://imgur.com/a/Gt7dF One day in DCS...
