msalama Posted January 14, 2015 Posted January 14, 2015 ..now a factor when it was not before. Because there's some EDGE functionality in there already? Just guessing of course... The DCS Mi-8MTV2. The best aviational BBW experience you could ever dream of.
SkateZilla Posted January 14, 2015 Posted January 14, 2015 (edited) I've seen conflictin reports, its likely luck.of the draw and driver specific. Like right now, I deleted my dcs.exe profiles and Xfire reports scaling of 23% on gpu 0 and 23% on gpu1, but the fps and stuttering are lower than if I disable xfire for dcs.exe. (yes Ive tried with pacing on and off) I've tried several combos of modes/preset profiles, and the performance was worse (negative scaling). Outside of Low, Med, High presets; the one setting that affects FPS the most is visibility distance, Edited January 14, 2015 by SkateZilla Windows 10 Pro, Ryzen 2700X @ 4.6Ghz, 32GB DDR4-3200 GSkill (F4-3200C16D-16GTZR x2), ASRock X470 Taichi Ultimate, XFX RX6800XT Merc 310 (RX-68XTALFD9) 3x ASUS VS248HP + Oculus HMD, Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS + MFDs
ChrisIhao Posted January 14, 2015 Posted January 14, 2015 (edited) I've seen another user post that they are getting better FPs in the sim with SLi. We may have to revisit the theory that the software gets no boost form having two GPUs. Along with if it is true, then why is it now a factor when it was not before. Yeah, I'm 100% sure of this, as I got eyes for these type of things after gaming for 20+ years, and also see that both gpu's utilize approximately 80-90% of the gpu's in Fullscreen SLi mode. In windowed mode around 50% is used on each, which usually indicates a non-functioning SLi setup. Its really an enormously satisfying experience to fly the KA-50 and the A-10c (which are the ones I'm playing atm) this fluently with TrackIR. Outside of Low, Med, High presets; the one setting that affects FPS the most is visibility distance, For me its definitely the trees. Tree shadows doesnt matter much though. I could try increasing a bit more since I did a lot of the tuning running windowed mode with mfd exports. I see you are using a CH HOTAS btw. Love this setup, and the software is awesome. Actually just wrote a comment in the CH hangar regarding wanting a CH ffb stick. Get in there and support me. Lol.
