After entering the server, frozen in spectators

After last update (not sure, but maybe few days before) when i enter in server I`m frozen in spectators around 20 seconds. Can`t chose slot, scroll.. then sometimes if I chose plane can`t press FLY or Brief button. All this happens from the moment of entry to clicking the FLY button, after that all is ok in game.

 

Does anyone have a similar problem?

I've noticed the same thing but have always assumed that it's simply a matter of the graphic displaying first while whatever else is loading finishes loading in the background.

Yes, but not so long freezing. Something is suddenly problematic.

Same for me since 1.2.10, happens every time I get online and hop into a server. I also periodically get complete screen freezes while in air (anywhere from 5-20 seconds) before everything unfreezes and I'm back to normal.

This happens whenever there is a MiG-21 model active in the server - if someone is already flying one the freeze happens when you first see the map screen....if someone jumps into a 21 and the model hasn't already been loaded on your machine the freeze can happen at the most awkward times! :doh:

 

Try it and see, go into a server with no MiG-21 slots and this freeze will not happen at all (i've already PM'd Cobra847 about this problem)

^^yeah so far i only noticed it on the virtual aerobatics server....and on all other servers i fly, there are no mig21 slots, and never experienced the freeze there.

Ahh, that makes sense. Thanks for the explanation. You're very right that it seems to happen in the most awkward of times, last night I was engaged low in/near the mountains on Op Jaguar (I think?). My damn screen froze up and 10-15 seconds later it unfreezes and I'm in a ball of flames :doh:

I suspected on MiG21 too but I did not want to prejudge anything...
