JulienBlanc Posted November 11, 2014 Posted November 11, 2014 Hey guys! So I've read the news about the version 1.2.11 being released to public consumption! Which is fantastic news, however my updater says the 1.2.11 is not available :(. I've tried this through: console(CMD) with the command dcs_updater update 1.2.11 [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Gigabyte GTX 970 G1 Intel i7-4790K 4GHz H100i 256 GB SSD + 1TB HDD Crucial+ WD Blue 16 Gb Ram DDR3-1866-C9R Mhz Veng. Pro. GA-Z97X-G5 SuperNova 750 G2
cichlidfan Posted November 11, 2014 Posted November 11, 2014 It always works when I download a full set of new files. Those links are active. ASUS ROG Maximus VIII Hero, i7-6700K, Noctua NH-D14 Cooler, Crucial 32GB DDR4 2133, Samsung 950 Pro NVMe 256GB, Samsung EVO 250GB & 500GB SSD, 2TB Caviar Black, Zotac GTX 1080 AMP! NeilWillis Posted November 11, 2014 Posted November 11, 2014 (edited) Nothing is available through the updater yet. Update: Yep, it is now available and installed. Edited November 11, 2014 by NeilWillis

SmukY Posted November 11, 2014 Posted November 11, 2014 For me it still isn't. Well, I'll have to wait I guess. Helicopters don't fly, they just subdue the air. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Matthias46 Posted November 11, 2014 Posted November 11, 2014 For me it still isn't. Well, I'll have to wait I guess. Just delete the DCS Folder in C:\Users\XXXXX\AppData\Local\Temp and run again the updater ;) 1
Bob-68 Posted November 11, 2014 Posted November 11, 2014 I did it manually from the command prompt with "DCS_updater.exe update" command. Usually that's the only way it seems to update.
cichlidfan Posted November 11, 2014 Posted November 11, 2014 Starting DCS World will only check for updates if it has been 24hrs since the last check. The command prompt method, mentioned above, is what the Windows Start menu entry (Start>All Programs>Eagle Dynamics>DCS World>Update DCS World) does. ASUS ROG Maximus VIII Hero, i7-6700K, Noctua NH-D14 Cooler, Crucial 32GB DDR4 2133, Samsung 950 Pro NVMe 256GB, Samsung EVO 250GB & 500GB SSD, 2TB Caviar Black, Zotac GTX 1080 AMP! JulienBlanc Posted November 11, 2014 Author Posted November 11, 2014 The command prompt did not work for me, did a fresh install, even through the module manager: 1.2.11.33xxxxx is not available. Through CMD Dcs_updater.exe update no update detected, does nothing or, launches outdated version by default. Through CMD Dcs_updater.exe update 1.2.11 1.2.11 is not available. Downloading the modules individually for the fresh install from the website as these links DO work. WindWpn Posted November 11, 2014 Posted November 11, 2014 (edited) Received the ED email newsletter noting that the Su-27 is available as a free update for FC3 owners. However, when I download the Su-27 module and attempt to install, it notes that the version of the download is older than current World install (updated today via auto updater). Thus my question is: Is the DCS 1.2.11 update available today, automatically include the Su-27 free for FC3 owners? Aka, no need to download the Su-27 DCS module and install separately. Note, perhaps this statement could be clarified: "Note: the aircraft model is identical to the Flaming Cliffs 3 module. Owners of FC3 do not need to purchase." to "Note: the aircraft model is identical to the Flaming Cliffs 3 module. Owners of FC3 do not need to purchase and/or download." mr_mojo97 Posted November 11, 2014 Posted November 11, 2014 So I updated the new update but was looking for what was supposed to be New instant action, single missions and interactive training missions. Where are they exactly? I was gonna install the Training missions but thats 3Gb so I presume they the old rubbish videos. Any idea when the interactive ones will be coming out? Ta MSI M5 z270 | Intel i5 7600k (OC) 4.8GHz | MSI GTX1080ti Gaming X 11Gb | 500gb Samsung 970 Evo NVME M.2 (DCS World) | 500gb Samsung 850 Evo SSD (OS and Apps) | 32Gb 2400MHz DDR4 - Crucial Ballistix | Be Quiet Silent Loop 240mm | NZXT H440 case | Thrustmaster Warthog - 47608 with Virpil Mongoose joystick base | MFG Crosswinds - 1241 | Westland Lynx collective with Bodnar X board | Pilot's seat from ZH832 Merlin | JetSeat | Oculus Rift S | Windows 10 | VA |
Ralphk Posted November 11, 2014 Posted November 11, 2014 yep we definitely need decent interactive trainers :joystick::pilotfly:
Chinga Posted November 12, 2014 Posted November 12, 2014 Guys..for those of you with FC3. Just download the stand alone Su-27 module. Go ahead and install it. Then navigate to the module missions and copy them into your FC3 missions folder and you will have the training missions and a few new instant action missions as well
