Missing Map Textures

Originally posted this in the video card section, but I guess this really belongs in object errors.

 

Notice this when I play the Dora: Intercept mission, and when on the Dogs of War Server on the map Frogs of war. Objects on the Dogs of war server load fine, but the map texture is gone. Not sure about the intercept as seen below.

 

I've tried the dcs_updater.exe repair switch with no change.

that is so strange - i dont think if have seen this in any of the years i have played DCS. Have you recently tried to swap out the textures for a mod? Did you try installing any of the available terrain mods to see if that will inject some terrian graphics for you

?

No mods, 100% stock. It's only this map (and 2 missions that I know of...190 Intercept Instant Action mission, and the Dogs of War "Frogs of War" mission), all other maps work flawlessly.

 

If I don't find a solution I guess I may have to do a full uninstall-reinstall to see if that fixes everything.

first check the folder names: ...Bazar\Terrain\vfstextures

 

after that check the graphics.lua in the Config folder

okay, i see it

anyway that's very strange

by the way: who made those missions (multiplayer missions do not matter, maybe they use a 5th/6th season mod) but the Dora mission ? :dunno: is that an official mission ? maybe made by SiThSpAwN ?

 

so pretty sure problems are in those missions only

i made the frog of war mission - no mods.

 

i wonder if you are onto something with the seasons? maybe he's missing a specific season tile set?

When I changed it to fall in Mission builder it had this problem too...so I guess my Spring and Fall map textures are corrupted or something?

Alright I fixed it, here's how:

 

I went into the DCS World\Bazar\Terrain\vfstextures directory and tried to open the fall and spring folders. They wouldn't open so I went ahead and went through every zip folder in that directory and moved them to a backup folder for safe keeping.

 

With those files gone I ran DCS_Updater.exe repair and it re-downloaded these files and fixed everything.

 

No more of this!

 

 

But instead I now have this:

Hi, I wanna try to fix my missing texture error with the same fix - method , as described above . can someonte tell me, where to erase the folder for the splinter boxes (heap of earth) .. the open air plane parking "boxes" on the airfields ? After some mods i lost texture completely,,,, thx
