Brit_Radar_Dude Posted March 30, 2006 Posted March 30, 2006 I haven't see it before - good find Birdy. I looked at other parts of that site too http://www.airforce.ru/memorial/russia/index.htm http://www.airforce.ru/memorial/russia/index2.htm http://www.airforce.ru/memorial/ukraine/index.htm and even thought I dont speak russian you can put ya mouse over the thumbnails and read (at the bottom of ya screen) where it is. Seems there are quite a few aircraft memorials in our Lockon area of interest that are not on the map besides that Krasnodar one, I guess the Devs just ran out of time..... GregP Posted April 25, 2006 Posted April 25, 2006 Bump ... this is an amazing site, lots of incredible pictures. Finally got around to checking it out yesterday and I don't want others to miss it. BRD, in addition to mousing over the links, if you study the letters a bit you can quickly just transliterate the words and sound them out yourself - then mouse over and see if you were right. I figure most people here oughta have a head start if they are comfortable in the Sues or MiG of LOMAC.

RvETito Posted May 7, 2006 Posted May 7, 2006 I don't know whether it has been discussed but on the airforce.ru site there's a very interesting article with good footage about the loss of a Su-33 on 5.9.2005 plus a damage of another one the same day, both accidents because of cutted arrestor cables. Here: http://www.airforce.ru/history/modern/kuznetsov/index.htm "See, to me that's a stupid instrument. It tells what your angle of attack is. If you don't know you shouldn't be flying." - Chuck Yeager, from the back seat of F-15D at age 89. =RvE=
