Svend_Dellepude Posted December 18, 2014 Posted December 18, 2014 On my old rig i have 20 fps in the MiG. Not so bad for a soon to be, 7 year old machine. The -15 gives me the best frames for the 3D cockpits. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Win10 64, Asus Maximus VIII Formula, i5 6600K, Geforce 980 GTX Ti, 32 GB Ram, Samsung EVO SSD.

Kuky Posted February 3, 2015 Posted February 3, 2015 Well you can't have everything... you can't have high FPS and HQ pit and not so high PC (or what the PC tech can do at any given time). Something has to give and I don't think lowering quality of the pit of the MiG-21 is the answer... once more... wait till EDGE is out. Manuel_108 Posted February 4, 2015 Posted February 4, 2015 EDGE is around the corner. Oh how often I've read this sentence. ;)
ironmarc Posted February 27, 2015 Posted February 27, 2015 I see some big FPS drops while playing with this module, more so than with any other, even if I play in an "empty" map, still see those drops. Funny thing is that sometimes the FPS gets back to normal, sometimes it doesn't, and I can't really see anything in particular that causes it. Sometimes I can start it up, taxi to the runway, take off and then the fps drops, sometimes it drops before that, sometimes it takes longer to drop, sometimes it recovers from the drop after a while and other times, it doesn't ever does, maybe it's related to something that is running on the background... I bought the module recently and this has really made it difficult for me to learn to fly this bird properly, it's a test for your own patience sometimes. If I try to play it on a map full with other aircraft and vehicles, it gets downright unplayable when the FPS drops. I'll buy a new PC, mine isn't completely outdated, but isn't the highest end and I plan to get one that will run this thing at full maxed out even if it costs me the price of a car, but I didn't thought that one DCS module in particular would do that if all the others can run it just fine.
ironmarc Posted February 28, 2015 Posted February 28, 2015 apparently the last update solved my issues with fps drops
