Check for contol double assignments.

When I spawned the first time in a flying 109, it went straight up into the sky and even full stick fwd would not really help (+ stalling & lots of swearing, lol)

Turned out the cause was the usual DCS problem.

I use a Saitek trim wheel and it's not working very well for me either, you can here the wheel sounds but no movement but then it starts going and won't stop, trim on a button works but are very sensitive and needs more down trim. Or is that how it really is on the 109?

Trim animation looks fine when using the buttons but not with trim wheel. Full forward trim just barely enough. Full back trim will make the plane do some really crazy stuff.

I am using the trim up and trim down functions (buttons) and seem to have no issues. Are you guys using the axis?

no just ordinary buttons.again, its just the efficiency or maybe the range which makes trimming pretty useless.just trim fully forward and it will more or less stay straight, still with a slight tendency to climb.

I can confirm it too, although at higher speeds it stabilizes at full forward trim, and the pitching up moment ceases...

Very annoying at takeoff, and now I understand Wags takeoff video...

Same here, double-checked trim settings with control indicator (RCTRL+ENTER --is that a new feature in 1.2.12 with WEP, rudder, and trim settings all in the same box?-) and it seems that indeed with full nose-heavy trim the plane still wants to go up. A concern in takeoff and landing.

The three best things in life are a good landing, a good orgasm, and a good bowel movement. The night carrier landing is one of the few opportunities in life to experience all three at the same time.

Full fwd trim (2 position) and with neutral stick it piches up violantly at TO.

Don't know if it was like that IRL

seems to be inefficient. even with fully nose down trim the plane wants to climb and you have to constantly fight that with the stick.(bug or was the elevator trim really that useless?)

..........exactly what i experienced too, plane wants to float upward....when i trimmed nose down full it still did it, not as bad but still. seems like the trim needs a bit more range on the nose down end.

This really should be reported, cause every newbie will definetely crash on takoffwithout knowing about trimming the plane to fully noseheavy!

Ok, maybe this was a little over the top, but you have to agree that if trimmed neutral its nowhere near neutral!

That is not what neutral trim means.

The neutral you talk about changes with speed, which is perfectly modelled in any AFM plane that has positive pitch stability.

You might find this interesting.
