Belphe Posted December 11, 2014 Posted December 11, 2014 I am going to ask Santa for a nice simulation cockpit/chassis/desk this year. I've had a quick look on the net but the kits I liked were either sold outside of the UK or out of stock. I won't lie to you - I'd like to avoid having to pay customs charges after importing loads of metal from the USA.. That is why I need a UK supplier. The pic below shows more or less what I'm dreaming about. Could anyone point me in the right direction? Never say never, Baby! [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

Snacko Posted December 11, 2014 Posted December 11, 2014 I got the Volaire Sim in the US and love it. I'll use it for many years to come. So, I would just put in your order and wait. You'll love it, and you will use it for a long, long time. It's worth the wait. The first one in this review with the touchscreen is mine. http://volairsim.wordpress.com/2014/01/25/volair-sim-customer-examples/ Snack Officer Intel I9-10850K (OC @ 5.0ghz) │ 64GB (4x16GB) DDR4 3200 │Gigabyte RTX 4090 Gaming OC 24gb - ҉ - Blackshark Cockpit Trainer - ҉ - ♣ Thread | ♥ Download

I wasn't recommending for him to buy the Voltair. Just encouraging him to buy one even if he has to wait for it. And Violair Sim was near Indianapolis, In. when I bought mine last Jan 2014. ;-) luckily I'm in Columbus, Ohio, so shipping was about $145. Tricky11 Posted December 11, 2014 Posted December 11, 2014 I bought one of these as the obutto was not in stock. Not the cheapest when you buy all the extras but it is a good cockpit as i use mine for racing and flight. http://www.pagnian.co.uk/flight-simulator/flight-simulator-cockpit-gaming-chair.html
Phantom_Mark Posted December 11, 2014 Posted December 11, 2014 I have had to do a lot of welding to my Pagnian "next level racing" to make it half usable, for racing it was almost not use whatsoever and the build quality was frankly shocking, end caps all smashed, stickers not applied correctly, wonky, peeling, terrible quality....I actually got the GT Ultimate Kit with all the extra's, the keyboard stand is worse than a Paddy with a barrel of free Guiness, honestly would have been quicker to just build the cockpit from the start like I had originally planned to tbh.
Tricky11 Posted December 11, 2014 Posted December 11, 2014 Hmmm i dunno if you got a lemon or what mark but mine seems ok. I do wish u waited for a obutto though

Oops. You are correct. My shipping wasn't too much more than that, IIRC. TEMPEST.114 Posted December 14, 2014 Posted December 14, 2014 Get the Obutto revolution - the customer service is second to none, the equipment is first rate and go to the European supplier - they've got tonnes of stock and although it won't be free shipping like the uk supplier, what good is free shipping when they don't have stock of anything!?
