NiceFlighgt Posted January 7, 2015 Posted January 7, 2015 I would like to request to modify the contrail because in real life it depends on OAT temperature, air density and engine EGT to appears , on DCS it always appears between 8000m and 12.000m, any chance to fix it? thanks 1
Cali Posted January 8, 2015 Posted January 8, 2015 This has been discussed a few times. A lot of people would love for this to be fixed or random. i7-4820k @ 3.7, Windows 7 64-bit, 16GB 1866mhz EVGA GTX 970 2GB, 256GB SSD, 500GB WD, TM Warthog, TM Cougar MFD's, Saitek Combat Pedals, TrackIR 5, G15 keyboard, 55" 4K LED
riboyster Posted January 8, 2015 Posted January 8, 2015 Can we also make it look better? It's been the same since LOMAC 1.02. Microsoft FSX and even FS2004 looks MUUCH better at altitude. -SnakeShit [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Peace through Superior Firepower EVERYTHING YOU'LL EVER NEED FOR LOMAC: http://flankertraining.com/ironhand/news.html
joey45 Posted January 8, 2015 Posted January 8, 2015 Let's see what EDGE brings. The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance. Cali Posted January 9, 2015 Posted January 9, 2015 I hope in edge it starts and stops randomly. i7-4820k @ 3.7, Windows 7 64-bit, 16GB 1866mhz EVGA GTX 970 2GB, 256GB SSD, 500GB WD, TM Warthog, TM Cougar MFD's, Saitek Combat Pedals, TrackIR 5, G15 keyboard, 55" 4K LED

NeilWillis Posted February 21, 2015 Posted February 21, 2015 A bit harsh! As previously stated, let us wait and see what Edge brings to the table. I am sure that weather simulation is one of the many things that are listed for updating. But as with all things, there is a limit to what can be achieved in the short term. First, build the foundations, then add the walls, then finally the finials. We're waiting for the graphics engine update, and there would be absolutely no point adding better weather to a system that is soon destined for the scrap heap. Once we have Edge, then all these other requests will make sense, but right now, it could be likened to pointing out that the wallpaper pattern doesn't match in a house that is on fire, and about to burn to the ground!
NRG-Vampire Posted February 21, 2015 Posted February 21, 2015 I hope in edge it starts and stops randomly. unfortunately that wont be nice Cali OAT/humidity/altitude (seasons, rain, snow, air pressure) is the key on visibility engine RPM and EGT is the key on how far/distance starts the condensation behind the aircraft fuel consumption is the key on the contrail density and thickness simple calculations
Alpha_ Posted February 21, 2015 Posted February 21, 2015 +1 I fully agree  Currently the climatic effects in DCS are Very Very Very POOR I think the climatic effects on DCS is a disaster , I think it climatic effects should be totally redone must be reprogrammed from the first stage. aircrafts are impressive are really beautiful very nice. , but the climatic effect is horrible ! ! ! Really are harsh words but fair weight. :) I think I'm not the one to approve his thoughts, certainly has more people who also approve your thoughts. thought fair enough 100% approved "flying" a beautiful airplane in timeline adobe after effects , 2d effects in a scenario 3d , really horrible ! ! !

paidapinga Posted February 21, 2015 Posted February 21, 2015 My plane has force field for protects you from the rain for not get wet. force field is 100% efficient my plane is not wet. :music_whistling:

We have to wait and see what DCSW2 and Edge provide first. i7-4820k @ 3.7, Windows 7 64-bit, 16GB 1866mhz EVGA GTX 970 2GB, 256GB SSD, 500GB WD, TM Warthog, TM Cougar MFD's, Saitek Combat Pedals, TrackIR 5, G15 keyboard, 55" 4K LED
SDsc0rch Posted February 21, 2015 Posted February 21, 2015 i was just surprised and pleased to see that contrails are even a "thing" in DCS yes, they could be better not going to put any requirements on it other than "ED, please make contrails better" -- and let them take it from there so far when they do things, i am mostly very impressed --- they think of things i wouldn't think of, and include features that i would hesitate to request for fear of it being "too little and insignificant" - yet they do it.. i7-4790K | Asus Sabertooth Z97 MkI | 16Gb DDR3 | EVGA GTX 980 | TM Warthog | MFG Crosswind | Panasonic TC-58AX800U [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
