Sgt_Baker Posted January 15, 2015 Author Posted January 15, 2015 (edited) I'm not sure what's going on. But it crashes every time I start a mission. I'm trying to use it on the navigation tutorial (as I just started playing DCS a few days ago) and everytime I go to launch the tutorial it just crashes the mission and brings me back to the "lesson select" screen. Do i NEED to have the cockpit displays deactivated? Or can I use the extra screen and still have them running in the cockpit, too? Because that's what I want/am trying to do. Edit - Yeah, it doesn't matter. Activated or not, nav tutorial or landing tutorial, it doesn't matter. It just crashes the mission. Can't use this at all... Hi MykillMetal, This is obviously a very serious bug, the likes of which we've not seen for a long time. In order for us to resolve this as quickly as possible, would you kindly provide the following: 1) DCS version and any mods you run. 2) Any output that is provided in UltraMFCD's System Messages section (see screenshot below) 3) Any error messages output by DCS and UltraMFCD in the Windows Event Log 4) Are you running any screen capture software, such as FRAPS? 5) Does it work for normal A-10C missions, i.e. not the training ones? UltraMFCD does support exactly what you're tying to achieve: Both exports and in-cockpit displays running simultaneously. Many thanks, Baker Edited January 15, 2015 by Sgt_Baker UltraMFCD 3.0 in the works. https://ultramfcd.com

98abaile Posted January 18, 2015 Posted January 18, 2015 Finally got to sit down with the sim again but I wasn't able to reproduce my problem, I did come across another one though but possibly not related to this mod. A while into the flight (same as with the last problem), roughly 30 minutes after taking off, my TGP started to flicker black, not long after the flickering stopped and I would keep repeatedly losing my SPI and the TGP would stop tracking my target. Again I don't think would be caused by UMFCD but it might be possible. I'm not running any other mods and I haven't got the latest update yet (restrictive data limit unfortunately), I'm going to try a flight without UMFCD tomorrow and see what happens. The good news is that I did figure out how to use LGBs. :smartass:
Sgt_Baker Posted January 18, 2015 Author Posted January 18, 2015 I've been getting DCS crashes (access violation exception) with and without uMFCD. (Read: A day spent tracking down a bug that appears it /may/ have nothing to do with me). Watch this space. :) UltraMFCD 3.0 in the works. https://ultramfcd.com

Iku_CC Posted January 21, 2015 Posted January 21, 2015 Just taked short test run and notice that RWR doesn't remember position and size. Seems that I need to start earn money for bigger 4th monitor to fit all this in one monitor..:). On the other hand seems that RWR works well at main display too. 98abaile Posted January 21, 2015 Posted January 21, 2015 I've confirmed that the TGP stuttering and SPI loss has nothing to do with this mod.
dooom Posted January 21, 2015 Posted January 21, 2015 So can these outputs be dragged to another monitor and clicked with the mouse or does it have to reside in same window as cockpit? Sgt_Baker Posted January 21, 2015 Author Posted January 21, 2015 (edited) So can these outputs be dragged to another monitor and clicked with the mouse or does it have to reside in same window as cockpit? You can drag them to and click them on any monitor that's connected to your machine - assuming Windows is aware of it. Additionally, every display can remember up to three positions and sizes, so you can, for example, quickly expand the TGP to maximum size when you want to take a close look at something, stowing it to a smaller and less obtrusive position when it might get in the way of the Mk I Human Eyeball. You'd be surprised how difficult it is to get beta testers to say "everything is OK" or "problem was unrelated", so really appreciate notifications such as this. :) Edited January 22, 2015 by Sgt_Baker UltraMFCD 3.0 in the works. https://ultramfcd.com

Sgt_Baker Posted January 22, 2015 Author Posted January 22, 2015 Very cool - a have a 10" Mimo touch begging for a cdu. Any idea when it will be released? That'll happen in the relatively near future. The first release will cover the A-10, with a similar setup for the KA-50 to follow shortly thereafter. The beta is fully-functional and stable, so feel free to take it for a test drive. Link at the bottom of this message. UltraMFCD 3.0 in the works. https://ultramfcd.com
98abaile Posted January 22, 2015 Posted January 22, 2015 I can't remember if it has been mentioned yet, but the CDU display still shows (unchanging) when I turn off the CUD. This was in the last beta version though, I haven't tested the new one yet.

Sgt_Baker Posted January 22, 2015 Author Posted January 22, 2015 Great job again! Could you add the ability to save CDU keyboard state By all means. It's a case of "fitted for but not with" at the moment. I need to engage in a little bit of refactoring, and had planned on implementing keyboard state at that time. Sgt_Baker Posted January 22, 2015 Author Posted January 22, 2015 It's worth noting that the beta versions of uMFCD need to be able to contact ultramfcd.com upon startup. If something goes wrong, such as a dodgy connection or the site going down, the app will think that it has passed its expiry date and shut down. This feature will not be present in the release versions, which will require the purchase and entry of an activation code once the trial period has expired. Rivvern Posted January 26, 2015 Posted January 26, 2015 Dunno if its UltraMFCDs fault.. but it seems like messes with my kneeboard. I cannot get it to show while UMFCD is active. Is this a feature or a bug? After i think about it, it would be a great feature to export the kneeboard to a UMFCD window! Adjustable size, movable to other screens. Yea that would be awesome.
