I acknowledge that uMFCD was not really designed for the Helios crowd and I appreciate your extra effort in having it run with Helios.

I intend to buy a license from you for two reasons. First, I like the program and may use it on the A10 with Helios from time to time. Second, and more important, I want to support your continued development on other DCS aircraft that do not have Helios profiles that are ready made. Helios profiles require a lot of knowledge and work, neither of them do I posses. Good Luck.

Really appreciate what you're saying here. You're right that it takes a massive amount of work to make mods for DCS that are polished and stable. It's an extremely complex beast! :)

I found the cause of the stuck MFCD button and it is to do with uMFCD. If you click any of the MFCD buttons in uMFCD and drag your mouse off the button with it still pressed, the button sticks on. You can do this across multiple buttons by simply dragging the depressed mouse over them. To clear them, you just have to click them again in uMFCD. I didn't try this with the CDU but I wouldn't be surprised if it is also the cause of Rivven's problem.

Ah ha! This is extremely useful info. Will attempt to reproduce now and issue fix in next release. Thank you.

Is the TGP supposed to be in color with UMfcd?

It appears to run in color only once in a while and not every time. I am running Helios.

So you can fly a whole mission with the original TGP imagery, even when colour is selected? Anybody else seen this?

We know that sometimes the colour CCD doesn't "kick in" the first time you switch out of standby mode. Cycling between STBY and AG/AA usually solves it. It' likely the two are related, if Sobe's experience isn't a hitherto unseen modification by Helios.

This isn't a high-priority bug, but will investigate proportionately.

The answer is yes. I had darkened the displays in the cockpit and on the Helios panel so only your MFCD's would appear, but most of the time they appear in B/W and not in color.

And just to be absolutely clear: You're not referring to the infrared views, which still remain B&W?

UltraMFCD 1.0.0.31 is available for download at https://ultramfcd.com/

This release contains very minor changes to functionality - the CDU now remembers whether the keyboard is visible or collapsed - but major refactoring of the rendering engine. These "behind the scenes" changes pave the way for enabling the selection on only the exports you want, as opposed to the current "everything we have", in addition to making future display additions easier to implement and more stable.

Given that it's such a major internal change, this release may be buggier than that which we've become used to.

Have at it!

I have a Master Bug here!

First run all ok i configure the viewports the flight runs fine (maybe more FPS loss than before!).

I stop all (DCS + uMFCD) start only DCS to see FPS without uMFCD running.

Stop Again DCS then start uMFCD and DCS, i start a mission.

I have a quick flash of MFCDs on full screen then nothing more, all uMFCD displays not here!

i tryed to reset uMFCD settings no changes even removing uMFCD.setting file.

uMFCD seems to works fine but no view render

I think I have a similar issue.

I downloaded the latest version from the website. Like an idiot, I ran the program without reading the user guide. Loaded a runway start mission. The app created 4 windows but I noticed that my MFCDs created by the app weren't displaying anything even though the in-cockpit ones were. I noticed that the app was telling me that I was running DCS in full screen mode and it would have problems. I stopped the mission and changed my monitor configuration to be "1 monitor", changed the resolution to the max resolution of my monitor (1280 x 1080) and turned off full screen mode. I restarted both apps and when I get into a mission, I don't see any displays even though the app says it is running. I have tried the reset settings and reloading both apps but it didn't seem to help.

UPDATE:

I was about to "repair" DCS when I decided to turn off all my other mods (using JSGME) and decided to restart DCS on a whim. All the UltraMFCD windows appeared again (CDU, RWR, MFCDs) when I was in a mission. I will try turning on each of the previously enabled mods to see which one interfered with UltraMFCD.

Update #2: Re-enabling all the mods that I had previously enabled doesn't cause UltraMFCD screens to disappear. I don't know why the screens came back when I disabled the mods but there doesn't seem to be any correlation so I will dismiss this issue as a one-off.

as I use Helios and based on the above, I would be able to just run the pod in color and continue to use the other displays from Helios and hopefully keep my FPS up.

UltraMFCD 1.0.0.33 is available at the usual download link. In testing with Icemaker, this build resolved the "no windows" problem. If the problem persists for you, please let us know as soon as you can.

Additionally, the "Reset All" button now works on the displays in real-time. In fact, many of the "under the covers" changes in the two most recent builds move functionality from "restart-time" to "real-time", which is why it's important that we know it works properly. :)
