Having big problems with the application. When i first ran it earlier today after installing 1.0.0.33 it worked like a charm! But now i cannot get it to work! Driving me mad! :)

Im using USB-DVI adapter for third screen. Worked first time.

Running latest DCS.

Ive killed FRAPS.

Running Windows 7 X64 Ultimate

EDIT: Ok. Guess what, Even though i exited Fraps an application called fraps.dat still showed up in the task manager. So... It was FRAPS fault. Again.

Move along, there is nothing to see here.

Stopped working for me again. Have made no changes since it worked last time.

Whats wrong when i get the error saying:

"***MISSION NO TYPEMATCH***" ?

EDIT: Sometimes it seems to work. It blacks out my MFCDs in game but the UMFDCs never show up. Ive deleted and redownloaded the 1.0.0.33. Could it be that they show up outside my screens?

According to testing with Icemaker ("no screens" is back for him), it might have nothing to do with anything you guys are/have been doing. Entirely my fault. Still working on this...

It's been a bit of a mad day for uMFCD. 1.0.0.39 is already done. It fixes a bug whereby selecting "Colour CCD" would sometimes cause the TGP to display a completely black image.

Good time to test the "New Version" system, I suppose.

UltraMFCD - drag, resize and click display exports. Zero configuration.

Hi folks,

UltraMFCD is a new mod for DCS that allows you to take full control over the sim's display exports in real-time - all without touching or editing a single thing in DCS.

You can drag exports to any monitor connected to your PC. You can resize the exports just as you would with a normal window. The buttons associated with any given display are integrated directly in to the screen in a "touchscreen" fashion.

Public Beta available for download at https://ultramfcd.com

P.S. For those of you already familiar with the project, I started this thread since people were missing the original behemoth on account of the title lacking any indication that it was something to do with UltraMFCD.

This release should further improve compatibility with Helios. While we've made great strides in this area recently, there are so many variations on peoples' Helios Export.lua configurations that it's impossible to know where we've got it totally right yet. Thus, please report any unusual behaviour you might experience while using uMFCD with Helios.

Update: We have just this minute found and fixed another rather major bug which affects both Helios and Multiplayer. It only became obvious what was going on (i.e. we were previously unable to reproduce the problem) after the .43 patch. It's in testing now, and we hope to get this out as soon as possible.

Sarge,

Getting an odd behavior in a four monitor setup. Primary display (29"LED) goes to black & white with a larger than MFCD size color rectangle that displays left of HUD. When I mouse click back onto the primary display the screen sometimes refreshes back to 100% color display. I have primary display on active pause. When I take a screen capture the resultant screenshot looks normal. Thought you'd like to know.

Also, is the color CCD in the TGP supposed to be persistent when the colour Litening CCD checkbox in UltraMFCD is checked? Very slick app BTW!

Well I have to hand it to you: This one gets top points for weirdness. :) A couple of questions:

1) How are your screens arranged relative to each other? (A screenie of the windows display setup stuff might come in handy.)

2) Are you using any third-party display manipulation technologies, such as nVidia surround, SweetFX etc?

3) Could you post your monitor setup lua, please?

Thanks, although I'm not quite sure what you mean regarding the CCD...

Sarge, No 3rd-party apps in use. [Monitor 4 for reading pdf manuals and creating avionics/radios stack in DCS/FSX etc. Monitor 3 is a touch screen which would be great if UltraMFCD accepted inputs from it. ;-) ]

Monitor Config Lua:

_ = function(p) return p; end;

name = _('Test Monitor 2015');

Description = 'Test Monitor 2015'

Viewports =

{

Center =

{

x = 0;

y = 0;

width = 2560;

height = 1080;

viewDx = 0;

viewDy = 0;

aspect = 2.37037037037037;

}

}

UIMainView = Viewports.Center

CCD issue: I see a color display in the TGP for a brief second or two then it switches back to black & white only.

OK. It would appear that we've got a few potentially unrelated issues all occurring at once here. It's odd how some people seem to get all the back luck. :)

Let me ponder what might be going on for a while, then I'll be in touch via PM if that's OK?

Just a hunch (and a bit of a pain for you to test), but what happens if you take monitors 2 and 4 out of the equation by physically disconnecting them?

The reason I ask is that altogether, those monitors make up an absolutely colossal screen area, even by modern standards. The way Windows works these days is that there's a program running in the background called the Desktop Windows Manager. It is essentially a full-screen DirectX 9 application. When DCS (and indeed uMFCD, which is also end-to-end DirectX) draw to the screen, they in fact do nothing of the sort. What happens is that each app draws to what it "thinks" is a screen, and then DWM composits everything together on to its "master" DirectX surface.

Now, looking at that monitor setup, I reckon the DWM is running a fullscreen surface (which has to contain all the monitors, incuding the offset one) of appx 7570 x 2500. Having googled all sorts of things about your gfx. card, I can find nothing to suggest that it /really/ supports resolutions that high.

Thus, since things going B&W and random colour squares are waaaaaay outside anything we've seen from uMFCD thus far, I'd like to eliminate the possibility of your gfx driver going quietly loopy under the load.

I'll disable 2&4 first and see what happens. So my mighty GTX 970 may be running out of RAM at 3.5GB? :doh:

I doubt it's an issue with the RAM, but worth a quick test lest we chase other tails in circles. Edit: If anything, a potential "running out of steam" where turning RAM values in to physical signals is concerned.
