Quick question, I downloaded both mod packs, created a folder in my JSGME mods folder and extracted them to their respective destinations. JSGME says it loads them(pretty sure it does because I lose a couple of GB's of SSD space), but I still get the lovely mountains of Georgia when I start the mission. Please point me in the right direction!

Using Winrar as my unpacker.

Make sure in the mods folder you don't have double folders meaning for example Ranger79 object pack folder and inside that folder the same folder.

Got it going....you were right, too many folders. It looks like fun, but from what I've seen so far, some scenes make my poor old PC howl in anguish!

I really have to upgrade before Edge comes out.

Hey Ranger great mission! Flew MP last night. There were no coalition aircraft though...maybe glitching following a dcs update? Can't wait for mission 2.

Guys, I am 85% complete with Mission 2 but may hold off due Edge anticipated release in the next 1-2 months. I am not sure if my mod pack will work with Edge.

 

LOL i wouldnt hold your breath brother, plus i highly doubt if we do get something in a month or two it wont be working with what we have now i imagine. So id vote to keep on keepin on and crank out those missions

Before I comment, thanks for the missions and mods. They are all great.

 

This isn't a complaint, just a FYI kind of thing since I spent the latter half of my 22 years in the Army on several deployments to Iraq. Ali Al Salem isn't pronounced the way it was by the actor. Salem is pronounced saLEEM. I'm just OCD and I've heard the correct way many times while overseas and wanted to share. I've been to pretty much every FOB, COB and airbase there.

 

So, no big deal just wanted to pass it along.

Yeah I was stationed there twice, the actor wasn't, don't think it's that big of a deal in the scheme of things

Guys, having some issues in testing with fps and weird ground vehicles movement. I'm redoing the bombers and changing some wps. I'll be sending scripts to the volunteers soon, just got to work out some of the bugs first.

Just played the single player version , wow! With that desert mod its like a whole new game , and the detail on the home base airport was amazing. I really prefer this sort of "realistic scenario" stuff over the typical WW3 Russia vs U.S. missions. I managed to survive for just under 2 hours before getting shot down at the second target zone.

 

Though , if i may give some feedback (even though i realize mission 2 is probably the only thing you're working on) : The loadouts are extremely unrealistic and WAY too much weapons are carried. I realize you can just rearm at base but when i see a mission with a default loadout like this i usually assume it's gonna be a "john rambo saves the world" type of mission, wich this doesn't seem to be (thank god.).

Edit : After going trough the thread a little i realize it's because the AI can't land and re arm... what a shame

 

Secondly , and this isnt really critique of the mission but just an annoyance with the sim , is the AI wingmen , if possible please make their fuel infinite so they don't have to refuel at the tanker. It's a huge pain in the ass to wait and watch them fly circles around it only to end up connecting and getting like a tenth of a tank's worth of fuel after you've wasted all your new fuel just waiting for them. And this has to happen 3 times?! I was honestly expecting the typical "out of fuel , ejecting" message to pop up at any time during the mission , but i guess i was lucky to get shot down before it happened. (( And even if the AI would work flawlessly , not being able to ask your wingman his fuel state makes it constant guessing game whether or not he needs to tank...))

 

It's just my two cents! I'm not hating on the mission , i loved every moment of it. I would gladly pay money for a campaign of this quality (like Ultimate Argument for SU27).

 

And , when DCS F18 is out it can very easily be adapted for that module , woohoo! :thumbup:

 

I've got a feeling i'm going to be flying this mission a lot in the future, amazing work. Thank you.

Thanks for the kind words. I agree with you on all your points. Mission 2 will have more realistic loadouts and I will make it so the wingmen should not have to refuel. It is going to be a hostage rescue mission. Ive had to rework it 2 times now to get it right, but I think everyone will enjoy. I will have scripts out this weekend, and final testing early next week. I also have Mission 3 planning started and am 50% done.

 

One point, I would like to use Starways Desert Mod in the future for Mission 2 and beyond, but will wait for further feedback from the community.
