BitMaster Posted February 23, 2015 Posted February 23, 2015 (edited) I just did a full-scan with my Avira Professional Antivir Software and BANG all dcs modules shown in pic are declared a trojan and locked or whatever you have configured (mine is copy to quaranty and then repair or delete if cannot be repaired, so I have a backup of ech file ). Maybe the devs get in touch with Avira asap as many clients are using Avira's free Desktop scanner that has the same scan engine and database as the prof versions. see attached screenshot Bit Edited February 23, 2015 by BitMaster Gigabyte Aorus X570S Master - Ryzen 5900X - Gskill 64GB 3200/CL14@3600/CL14 - Sapphire Nitro+ 7800XT - 4x Samsung 980Pro 1TB - 1x Samsung 870 Evo 1TB - 1x SanDisc 120GB SSD - Heatkiller IV - MoRa3-360LT@9x120mm Noctua F12 - Corsair AXi-1200 - TiR5-Pro - Warthog Hotas - Saitek Combat Pedals - Asus XG27ACG QHD 180Hz - Corsair K70 RGB Pro - Win11 Pro/Linux - Phanteks Evolv-X
fltsimbuff Posted February 23, 2015 Posted February 23, 2015 I would start by contacting the AV company yourself. I am not sure that software developers should bear responsibility for contacting every AV maker out there to have their software cleared, when the AV software maker seems to be the one having the problem. EA may do it anyway, but usually it is best if the AV software customers get involved.

Koekemoeroetoe Posted February 23, 2015 Posted February 23, 2015 Sounds like its time to switch to common sense internet security 2015 ^^^ This Best AV there is, helped me preventing virusses for years and years already. People rely on AV way too much anyways... OP, try adding the DCS folder to the no-scan zone or whatever it's called, should help preventing those valse-positives. Pikey Posted February 23, 2015 Posted February 23, 2015 False positives are extremely common nowadays because heuristics need to go beyond standard signatures and definitions. That company will have a reporting method for a false positive but it's likely a slow process without a support contract. ___________________________________________________________________________ SIMPLE SCENERY SAVING * SIMPLE GROUP SAVING * SIMPLE STATIC SAVING *
BitMaster Posted February 23, 2015 Author Posted February 23, 2015 Sounds like its time to switch to common sense internet security 2015 This is partially true but I also make my living with fixing PC's and networks so I have to have something, just for legal reasons, knowing that if the shit hits the fan even my Linux and Mac systems will be down in 5 sec if some serious people want their data. there is no secure system and if a new trojan comes along nothing is gonna protect you but some luck and common sense....and a new drive if you got the worst of trojans. Wolf Rider Posted February 24, 2015 Posted February 24, 2015 yeah... that's a hard one. Do they (Avira) offer a full blown paid service? BitMaster Posted February 24, 2015 Author Posted February 24, 2015 yeah... that's a hard one. Do they (Avira) offer a full blown paid service? I don't know what you mean with full blown service. They offer anything from Desktop to Server with centralised management if you like, including MS Exchange Module etc... Running those "Suites" on several sites, by far the best AV I've ever tried for servers and linux Bit Gigabyte Aorus X570S Master - Ryzen 5900X - Gskill 64GB 3200/CL14@3600/CL14 - Sapphire Nitro+ 7800XT - 4x Samsung 980Pro 1TB - 1x Samsung 870 Evo 1TB - 1x SanDisc 120GB SSD - Heatkiller IV - MoRa3-360LT@9x120mm Noctua F12 - Corsair AXi-1200 - TiR5-Pro - Warthog Hotas - Saitek Combat Pedals - Asus XG27ACG QHD 180Hz - Corsair K70 RGB Pro - Win11 Pro/Linux - Phanteks Evolv-X
