Is it just me. I've had DCS from the beginning and so, so many times I have the DCS folder from my start menu disappearing after weeks of being there so can't repair.... anyone know why? :helpsmilie:

Is your significant other trying to give you a hint? :P

Seriously though programs and shortcuts don't just disappear in Windows on their own.

The first thing to check would be to see if DCS World is still installed by going into Control Panel -> Programs.

If it's not listed in there, then it has been uninstalled.

You can check the Windows Event Logs to see who and when it was uninstalled.

If the shorcuts are gone, and DCS World is still installed, then there is no real way to check what happened. Perhaps if they are in the recycling bin, it might give you a date at least, but probably no names.

If things are disappearing on their own, I would be doing a virus scan or two.

This has happened to me 2 times after which I've had to re install DCS World.

After the first time I just brushed it off as me inadvertently deleting it somehow.

After the second time, I was pretty sure something was triggering it to delete. I don't just delete folders off of my start menu.

I am the only one that has access to my computer.

I'm glad that I am no the only one.
