;2374386']@Rage - No one has approached me as of yet mate' date=' I know there was an issue with Oberst who's game crashed while engaged. Sadly as you know these things happen, we'll have to think of some strategy for dealing with them in the future, perhaps something similar to what GG proposed.[/quote']

No worries. Just something to keep an eye out for, especially with increasing numbers. IIRC before it was thought to be caused before by repeat pausing/unpausing server.

look forward to the next one!

Incredibly the event is now almost sold out after just being opened 3 hours ago! There are NO A2A slots left! :joystick:

As a result we will create a Reserve list for people to sign up too, these pilots will be able to join in the event that someone does not show up for the mission start time in the order that they signed up in!

Due to the popularity of this event we may have to consider making it a 2 day event if we can manage that, or coming up with another system to get more people involved.... stay tuned!

I think 10-15 min delay is enough. If you want a 'live sporting event' :D

Just get a good announcer!

;2374411']Should be very possible with a delay in the transmission :)

Reminder: SAM = Speed Bump :D

This is based on RL red flag exercises. The idea behind this is to simulate a capable enemy to ensure effective pilot training. This is why aggressor pilots are usually veterans and instructors with a lot of flight hours and experience under their belt.

The mission objectives are to be accomplished by the attacking side and aggressors are there to stand in their way.

Thanks for everyone who took part and made this a great event!

We're all thoroughly exhausted after the 3 hour battle however RipTide is working on getting the TacView file compiled and will post it as soon as its ready.

It looks like we will have to wait for the scores to be totalled as this was a close one with no obvious winner. Both sides did significant damage, looking forward to finding out who came out on top!

Great fight all, loved it!

S!

Server logs indicate that the battle was a close one; OPFOR were clearly head and shoulders above in the air battle with reportedly 16 kills for 6 losses only.

However, this did not stop the challengers from inflicting a lot of damage to enemy ground forces. The question is to see if that will be enough to offset the huge deficit conceded to OPFOR in the air battle.

Of course, server logs are not enough to draw an accurate picture, so we will also go though the ACMI recording and over every action before coming up with the final and official results.

Another great event to add to the history of the DCS PvP arena!

Excellent battle, grats to all.

PS: Riptide check tacview 02:18:48.

Your missiles were inbound from under 10 miles, target went for evasive maneuvers then departed before crashing into the ground, seconds before your missiles would have hit it. Good firing parameters, only real threat, that kill will be yours sir.

If there was another pilot in the same situation, you would have shared the kill with him (one assist each), Wizard was on his way but a bit late to collect an assist.

Epic battle also for me!

First I want to apology for my connection problems which threw me out 3 times from the server. In the meantime I think I solved this harware WLAN problem. I accept any jugdement according to score for that.

And @ plaiskool how did You do the evasion at 1.53.38? This was the closest situation I´ve ever seen.

Cheers and S!

Good combat flight is understanding the nature of things and the feeling to handle it.
