no same thing some effects work some don't..

Let's tick "Log to Screen" option at Sound Module and switch on speedbrake for instance at Su-25T. Can you see strings for speedbrake effect in a textbox at Sound Module GUI?

...could it be a setting in the soundcard or the soundcard itself??

Let's test the soundcard. Could you try to listen from the soundcard output via headseat or speakers? Can you hear sounds well?

How much gain can you see at those log strings?

well the only sounds that seem to not work are the airbrakes and taxi bumps, the bumps are at 54% and the AB's fully extended are 100% . I had set the gain up on the other sounds and they seem to be working now..

I have adjusted a bit sound files for speedbrake and grounds bumps and published SimShaker update.

Please close Simshaker by right mouse clicking on Simshaker tray icon and then clicking Exit. And start Simshaker again to make it autoupdate the files. Check your custom settings if they were preserved and please try again speedbrake and grounds bumps.

For the Huey I have effect number 2, Enhanced main rotor whirl (RPM > 42%), turned up to max, but I can barely feel it. I'm not sure if you would feel that as much in a real Huey, but I would like to feel the main rotor while flying. So maybe you could make effect number 2 a bit stronger?

Hi Emil,

I did it. Please check at your side is it better now.

Hi Emil,

Hi Andre!

The rotor effects are much better now thanks. Although the dashboard shake and vortex ring state effect (#5 ) are far too strong. Makes my buttkicker go into the red even if I set it very low (2 or 1). So those would need to be set lower in my opinion.

The Mig 21 is feeling really good now. I like the afterburner effect and have it set to 100 for a good rumbly feel when the afterburner is engaged. However, many effects including guns, ground bumbs, speedbrake shudders and stall (#3, 4, 6 and 9) are far to strong when the afterburner is engaged. When the afterburner is off and engine RPM is 98-100% they are great, but as soon as the afterburner kicks in they are much too strong. I I lower the afterburner effect they are fine, but then I can't feel the afterburner as much as I would like. :/ There may be more effects that are effected, but these were the ones I could find.

Also, the Stall effect works well in the A-10C, but seems way to strong in the Mig 21. But the strength of the Stall effect seems to depend on throttle in the Mig 21. If I'm at 98% or afterburner it's very strong. At lower throttle it's weaker and more appropriate. Only I don't want to lower my throttle when I stall. I want more thrust to get out of it. :)

I hope my text makes sense to you. :)

Thanks!

OK. I've adjusted speedbrake effect a bit more. Please update SimShaker and try.

I agree Emil. They were the way too strong. Corrected. Please update SimShaker and try.

OK. I will try to work on it.

I'll try to figure out what's wrong with this.

Hello hannibal, no special requriments and black list. I think you can use any sound card you have.

I just emailed you for activation key... Also no effects work in game since I've done this update. Is it because it's not activated?

Hi Rich,

without entering the key Sound Module (beta) will run at Demo mode, playing just Ground Bumps effect for all DCS World planes and KA-50.

Also when I hit the service tab an error comes up

Form load: network port is busy check if another sound module or jet seat handler is already running

Thanks for your feedback. I will fix it.

Going to delete newest build and use an old one as it still works until activation key is sent.

The activation key is sent. But, sure, you can revert to previous version of SimShaker (1.0.6.1) ) via Control Panel -> Programs and Features.

Scratch that can't use old build guess no buttkicker until key is sent. Can we try to avoid this process in future and just have an old stable version always available if where going through key cert?

You can still use Alfa version of Sound Module if it's better for you.

Just unchek "Start Sound Module Automatically" option at SimShaker GUI and launch Alfa version of Sound Module as you did it earlier.

Does the software override the sounds I'm using?

No.

What happens if I update the software and my own sounds were used.

If any files at your folder are missed, Sound Module will try to copy missed files from standart distributive package.

I notice the same thing, when only 1 shake effect is working, its can be set to have right amount of volume/shake. But the moment another sound is played for another shake effect, it becomes to strong. I think this is because amplitudes are added on top of each other. I would like if this can be changed so that sound volumes of 2 or more sound files are not added to increase their volume. I think this can be achieved if sound files played are of different frequencies and phase so that they are not coherent?
