feiercrack, you don't need any software in DCS. Just a few lines in a couple of lua files and the displays will be exported pretty much anywhere you want, but you need to have your additional screens connected to the PC that runs DCS.

ok, awesome :D

but: how should i connect them?

is it possible to connect them also via USB ? If so, how can this be done?

can you please send me those .lua files, so that i can have a look on them?

meanwhile i go down to my basement to search for some vga-hdmi / dvi adaptors...

SpeedBird can you please post links for everything if it’s affordable I may build up 3 of these that would mean buying another set of mfds and selling one as a single. But I really would like having a left, right and center display

On second thought I might buy 4 more and upgrade them with the panel and selling a set of three for total cost that way mine only cost me labor.

Could anyone tell me if these would be able to be used? They would fit nicely behind the MFD's but I don't know anything about this stuff so I don't know if they could be used.

No it's actually about 2 mm bigger.

In the pic below you can see the green border and the black/grey screen area behind the MFD.

I'm just asking if anyone could tell me if it would work with a HDMI board like the one below or similar?

Perfect size, apparently. How much are they asking for it as I don't see such models on AliExpress?

It says it's LVDS 40-pin in specs, so search for a controller board with such a connection and that supports that resolution or higher.

i386DX40@42 MHz w/i387 CP, 4 MB RAM (8*512 kB), Trident 8900C 1 MB w/16-bit RAMDAC ISA, Quantum 340 MB UDMA33, SB 16, DOS 6.22 w/QEMM + Win3.11CE, Quickshot 1btn 2axis, Numpad as hat. 2 FPH on a good day, 1 FPH avg.

Annoyed by my posts? Please consider donating. Once the target sum is reached, I'll be off to somewhere nice I promise not to post from. I'd buy that for a dollar!

Don't know if mentioned already, but there are much cheaper displays with hdmi US $37.80 Bought 2 of them here

I'm getting ready to buy a Cougar MFD pack and definitely want to light them up with displays. I looked at these displays you referenced, and they're amazingly cheap. So let me ask you a question:

When hooking these up, I need a 12VDC supply - done! I have a video card with a HDMI and DV outputs - my 36" monitor is on the DV port. I'm assuming I need a total of 3 video ports to run the monitor and both displays. Is that correct? I can buy a cheap video card to do that.

Has anyone up here made up an instruction "manual" or video on how to do this?

Hi all,

I'm following this amazing MFD project and I wish help the community with my little contribute.

I rescaled the drawing from inch to decimal (mm) and I modified the layout for A3 sheet. I did that cause I found an on-line plexiglass cutting service in my country (Italy).

If there are some italian users, I report the link:

http://www.matterlab.it/taglio_laser/en/content/9-taglio-laser

http://www.matterlab.it/taglio_laser/en/taglio-incisione-laser-su-pmma-plexiglass/715-laser-cutting-on-plexiglas-20-mm-thick.html

I sent the drawing yesterday evening, right today they shipped my order.

I also modified the design for the VS-TY2662-V1 driver board.

I will keep you updated.

Bye!

Thank You Speedbird for the useful and elegant project...and trhanks to Wasy100 for the A3 format...I'm from Italy...I'll send the project next wheek for cutting process...Regards

P. S. Is possibe to do that with Black ABS?
