I've got a relatively powerful computer w/ nvidia 960.

but my cockpit rez is not that good - can't make out some switch labels - but when I watch youtube videos of others i can see labels clearly. so something is not right in my setup.

i'm running 1920x1200. in dcs settings, have everything on HIGH.

anything else i need to do - nvidia settings.

tried that didn't help much.

i set it to "1024 every frame".

btw what does that setting do.

The funny thing is most labels are clear - but some are not. And as i wrote before there are youtube videos out there with much clearer labels.

For example, i'm playing with the black shark and can hardly read the text on the collective.

This resolution will only affect MFDs (ABRIS, Shkval), what you're looking for is higher resolution cockpit textures.

Try increasing the texture setting in your graphic options.

Otherwise there are some hi-res cockpit mods somewhere you should find them easily, or someone will direct you to them.

It's in NVIDIA control panel

I can't remember which settings to change, but it should be around aniso filtering.

Push them all one by one to the maximum value to see which setting is your solution.

Don't forget to restart the game after each change you make in the nvidia panel.

I noticed the "every frame" setting eliminates the flicker of the mirrors when running SLI.

The black shark textures are really old. There is an updated version in the user files section on the main website.

Oh... I was just about to buy Black Shark 2, but not too keen on playing with textures I can't read... Got a link to that updated version so I can have a look beforehand?

Edit: added "2"

There is nothing wrong with the readability of the textures in the stock Black Shark 2 pit. If the cockpit is blurry, you need to either increase the texture quality setting in DCS or there is an issue with anisotropic filtering/mip mapping, which falls into the resort of your GPU driver.

Good, fast, cheap. Choose any two.
