BitMaster Posted July 4, 2015 Posted July 4, 2015 I use a different approach to split hardware & software. Depending on your skills and access to a 2nd PC do this: - Grab a 8GB USB stick, USB 2.0, 3.0 often doesnt work - download sarducd.it - create a USB stick with these OS`s & tools:: - standard tools ( embedded ) - Gparted and/or other Harddrive tools ( check CPU generation ) - ANTIVIRUS ( Avira and Kaspersky have the best CD's imho ) - Ubuntu 14.04 or 15.04 Desktop 64bit - Win7/8 Installer ( easy to do, read the RTFM With this stick i fix all PC's that enter my workshop and the very best approach to test if your damn Windows is dirty is to install Ubuntu ( yes, INSTALL ) and then also install Steam and check if any of your games have native Linux clients, if, install them and check from there. There are many titles available, some for for free, spme for weekend only etc... check one out and test it. Check your RAM and HD inside Linux, do they work as expected or are u going down the same dead end road again, which would mean you do have a hard-to-spot hardware issue. If that is the case, you have-2-have spareparts to exchange each and every part of your PC and check when the error moves from one PC to another. That's how it is done in most workshops. It saves time as you approach a very quick 50/50 game to divide into working and not working, liniting the amount of devices left over to be in question with every move you do. Joni Posted July 6, 2015 Author Posted July 6, 2015 During the weekend I tested a new PSU that a I borrowed from a friend's local store and the problem happened. I purchased a brand new EVGA GTX 970 SC ACX 2.0 and the problem seeeeeeeeeeeems to have gone, but I now cant use my led tv with it cause it flickers into a black screen with no error every two seconds or so... I researched and it seems a lot of people is having this problem with the 900 series... do you have any idea? Its great to have solved the gaming problem but not being able to use my led tv is a very annoying issue as well. So lets start a new topic shall we? :P Love you guys. If so, either your particular copy of 970 or its driver is at fault. Try clean installing the driver, or to look for solutions on hardware dedicated forums such as tom's hardware. If the problem appears only when you are playing DCS, try repairing DCS, or clean-installing DCS.

StandingCow Posted July 11, 2015 Posted July 11, 2015 DCS right now is much more reliant on your CPU... and to make matters worse... only 1 core on your cpu. The clock on your CPU is what is most important at this time. DCS 2.0 is expected to fix this issue by putting more of the load on your GPU. 5900X - 32 GB 3600 RAM - 1080TI My Twitch Channel ~Moo
