I'm enjoying DCS World a lot. The Su-25 T is the best ground attack plane I've flown in any flight sim, and the TF-51 D is a beauty to cruise around in. So, I'm looking for another module to play.

I'm looking for a Vietnam or modern fighter (I'm not very interested in WWII or Korean War aircraft, as I already have flight sims with those aircraft), and preferably cheap, because I really don't have much money. Perhaps a non-Russian one, too, so it's as different as possible from the Su-25 T.

What would you guys suggest?

If a vietnam modern fighter is what you want, then get the Mig-21, it is an amazing simulation and very fun to fly.

Good luck.

Thanks for the links. Getting them all is certainly my end goal :)

The MiG-21 is a very retro looking plane, I'll be sure to check it out

The Mig-21 is a blast.

It's not the easiest in the world to fly but it's not ridiculously hard where you end up parking it either.

It will give you a lot of satisfaction. (I still have the odd landing oopsie if I don't concentrate)

Weapons are easy enough to deploy, so no massive learning curve like the A-10C.

It's fast and can deploy nukes.

It is worth every cent.

Thanks, guys.

The MiG-21 is a bit too expensive for me, so I went for the F-15 C - but the MiG-21 is certainly on my wishlist :)

Get the FC3 package. If you do not require advanced system modeling it has the biggest bang for your buck.

The MiG-21Bis didn't enter service until after the Vietnam war ended. That said, I highly recommend it as it is a lot of fun. Systems are fairly simple on it though using them effectively is another matter entirely. The A-10C and Ka-50 (Blackshark 2) are also very popular.
