Hi Guys,

For some reason, sometimes when I'm flying the Eagle the HUD becomes unreadable during a flight. It appears that I can only see a zoomed in part of it and I cannot see the edges where all the essential information is.

Is it me? Am I pressing something? I have tried everything but nothing reverts it. I have to restart the whole mission to get it back.

Thanks In advanced to for any advice on this.

Try zooming in and out, that works for me when this happens.

I have tried zooming but still doesn't solve the problem.

Will try and get a screenshot.

Just imagine looking at the HUD and only seeing the inner 70%. Like i have zoomed in. Very annoying

Because you have moved your head away from the HuD.

That is how a real HuD works: The size of the projection remains constant, so if you were to stick your nose up to the glass, it would look like a tiny projection compared to the glass, but you would still see the SAME SIZE projected ahead of you.

Likewise, if you move your head back, the projection will now appear to be larger than the glass, so you won't be able to see it in its entirety.

Reminder: SAM = Speed Bump :D

I used to play flight sims like you, but then I took a slammer to the knee - Yoda

Thanks for the reply. Thay would make sense. It is like I have leaned forward in the cockpit as perspective of other instuments changes . Didn't realise you could do this. How do you do you lean forward and back? I can zoom using mouse scroll but leaning is differrent. How do you reset your position?

Sorry if this is a obvious question.

I have a related question. How come my mini-hid only shows airspeed and attitude? It used to show altitude as well. Any ideas?
