grunf Posted August 11, 2015 Posted August 11, 2015 I had a strange flying session last night, just aimlessly flying and fooling around with the mission editor. First, my RSBN was set for Batumi station on channel 16, but the needle was pointing towards Kobuleti, and so did the range. I found the airport anyway. Just before a touch down, I paused the game to check some controls, after unpausing, the plane stopped responding to my joystick and I crashed. I packed some Groms and went to sink some random tanker, only to find that my radar was dead. Perhaps because I switched on the fixed beam immediately after putting the radar on standby during the startup. On another attempt, this time with the working radar, I just couldn't hit the darn ship, neither with the Groms nor rockets. To make things worse, I crashed into the ship. But that was my fault, not gremlins. :D Anyway, weird...
WinterH Posted August 11, 2015 Posted August 11, 2015 I have also been experiencing inaccuracy with air to ground weapons including the Groms, I suppose since the last patch. I think it is definitely different from what is used to be. I don't know whether done intentionally to make old system less accurate, or an unforseen bug, but some clarification would be nice. Recently a friend of mine picked up the module, and he is enjoying it a lot, but he also report the same air to ground weapon inaccuracy issue. He also experience elevator control going unresponsive a few times, this one didn't happen to me. Wishlist: F-4E Block 53 +, MiG-27K, Su-17M3 or M4, AH-1F or W circa 80s or early 90s, J35 Draken, Kfir C7, Mirage III/V DCS-Dismounts Script
Cletust8 Posted August 11, 2015 Posted August 11, 2015 Try using the horizontal range marker below the pipper with the grom. They tend to land short if you dont.

I rarely use Groms, and it seems that the bombs are much easier to use and more accurate :D. probably not in RL, since MiG-21 doesn't have CCIP. EagleFox Posted August 12, 2015 Posted August 12, 2015 I think it is and it showed me location of beslan
Darkwolf Posted August 13, 2015 Posted August 13, 2015 RSBN is bugged since last patch. On some instance, the RSBN will get a +/- 1 shift. Check the distance and sound and you can correct. :) Also Do not startup your avionics while your engine is starting. I experienced a lot of radar failure because i was starting the radar, THEN the engine. Engine start is damaging electronics. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] PC simulator news site.
