One question. Is there any protection against transition between the coalitions? Yesterday I observed as blue pilots occupied the red slot artillery commander, that gave blue side all alignment of the red forces.

VR Pimax 8KX, i9-9900KF, RTX 2080Ti, RAM 32GB, SSD 970 EVO+ 1TB.

No special real time protection but we follow other ways. We can't easily do something there as it's how DCS works default with the ground commanders.

 

We unfortunately have to ban players if they move on actions like these after reports.

 

What we also did is that from now on you won't be able to move easily ground groups as they include fortification units and units that can't move. That way we improve also stability which suffers if ground groups move.

 

So even if a player wants to cheat in that way he won't be able to do much damage until he eventually will get reported and banned.

If anyone see this happening, first please confront the player who does it and ask why.

If the explanation is not sufficient, please refrain from getting into an argument over it and just send the information to us.

we will make sure to contact that person if available and he will have to suffer the consequence in case he has no good explanation.

It's worth noting as well that we're not currently in a formal round, just stress testing between rounds, so I would consider this behaviour more tolerable than if we had started round 2.

I will look into implementing it, but I'm not sure if it's distinguishable.

Make them have a game tag in the server like "COM_TAW_OverG" for commander role. Kick anyone else from the slots.

I don't know who wrote the script, but the guys at the JG27 Fighting Legends server had a script like this.

 

You got a certain slot with your own custom skin plane. If another player took your slot, he was kicked from the slot after a few seconds.

I wrote one like this nirvi.

Not sure which they are using.

 

Guys it will not happen for limiting ground commanders.

1. We want to keep the server for the whole community.

2. Limiting for ground commander slots at certain times while one side has them and the other not is not fair.

 

Therefore not gonna move forward with this change.

Subject closed :)

 

On the other hand many new features are coming!

Server has to go down in a few hours for maintenance and upgrade. :)

 

Will let you all know what time exactly. Once again thanks for testing during this week and giving us feedback. We can't wait to validate the new features and add them to the official version of the campaign.

If I can be of any help with some directed testing (i.e. 'can you test feature x' as opposed to generic flying around, please let me know!

Heyho, i have some questions before the new round starts:

1) takeoff: i See several people taking off from taxiway.... Is this allowed? And as a chopper on an airfield: Do I have to get to the runway as well?

2) su27 will be allowed for a2g?

3) will We get awacs and air-refuel?

3)We don't use Awacs or tankers atm but maybe in the next rounds. We have Ground commanders to provide pictures and tried LoATC but unfortunately couldn't make it for this round.

It sounds good with no restrictions on 1).

 

In the heat of war, it may sometimes be necessary to take off from the taxiway, if the airport is under attack, or the runway is damaged.

To me this is only realistic.

 

Of course, under normal operation the runway should be used, I agree on that.
