shifter Posted February 5, 2018 Posted February 5, 2018 (edited) Sorry for the late message, but its hard to work on it while I'm still studying right now. I have now 18 months of internship and then will see what I can do. I really like the seaking so I would love to see one in DCS but I don't think I can do this on my own because I'm studying to be a VFX artists and the step between High Poly and low Poly models are unknow for me because it is for a game. So I mainly work High Poly. But the idea was to make a Westland seaking and the US Navy seakings are from Sikorsky but maybe yes. Its also possible to add a US Navy skin/textures/livery to a westland seaking model. I hope this is the answer that you are looking for. Again sorry for my bad English, and I hope I can continue but as I said. I can't do it on my own because I don't have coding experience I only saw basic c++ but never seen advanced c++. But got some very plastic looking renders ( to see if there are no bumps on my model surface). Edited February 5, 2018 by shifter I'm Simon Vandamme (Shifter), a Bruges (Belgium) based Digital Arts and Entertainment student. I'm interested in High Poly 3D Moddeling, compossiting, color grading, realistic rendering and Visual Effects. My nationality is Belgian, in my spare time I take pictures of Military aircraft and play DCS the modules I own are: HUEY, HAWK, A10C, P51D and the F-15. http://www.simonvandamme.com [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
joey45 Posted February 5, 2018 Posted February 5, 2018 Looking good.. It's best to make the high poly model first then use that to back the details for the game model. After that the LODs. on ma mobile The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance. Volator Posted February 20, 2018 Posted February 20, 2018 I can't do it on my own because I don't have coding experience I only saw basic c++ but never seen advanced c++. Maybe you should get in touch with Polychop or Belsimtek. They have already released great helos for DCS and have the necessary coding knowledge. Maybe you can work something out together. I don't know how things are done in that branch, but I could imagine you offer them your support in 3d modeling and they get the rights to sell the product. With only you trying your best besides working/studying, a Sea King in DCS is not going to happen I'm afraid. Still, with the naval aviation branch slowly developing in DCS, a Sea King must be a thing, so it would be a real pity if this project failed. 1./JG71 "Richthofen" - Seven Eleven
Robert31178 Posted February 21, 2018 Posted February 21, 2018 Maybe you should get in touch with Polychop or Belsimtek....... Or Mil-Tech, they are also still looking for a coder per their last info nugget. Double the search effort!!
