rudek Posted May 30, 2006 Posted May 30, 2006 the game need training weapon what can lock but don't fire
Crusty Posted May 30, 2006 Posted May 30, 2006 Huh????, .....heres an idea.......dont press the fire button....there, exactly the effect you want just by not pressing a button.... you can shout out "SHOOT" or something if it makes you feel better:lol: oo err...missus:animals_bunny: ** Anti-Pastie**
504 Wolverine Posted May 30, 2006 Posted May 30, 2006 Or you can press the trigger with the knowledge that whoever you shoot (friend or foe) doesn't actually die but can respawn their aircraft after they are downed. [/url]
ФрогФут Posted May 30, 2006 Posted May 30, 2006 For training turn invulnerability on.:) And you will see, if you missed or hit the target. It's also a way.:) "Я ошеломлён, но думаю об этом другими словами", - некий гражданин Ноет котик, ноет кротик, Ноет в небе самолетик, Ноют клумбы и кусты - Ноют все. Поной и ты.
Guest Cali Posted May 30, 2006 Posted May 30, 2006 the game need training weapon what can lock but don't fire LMAO, this is a joke right?
rlogue Posted May 30, 2006 Posted May 30, 2006 LMAO, this is a joke right? What's so funny about that Cali ? Me and a friend do this all the time. We like to fly realistic training missions, we take off, do some wing work and formation exercises, do some BFM with invulnerability on, then on to ACM, hit the tanker, go home. If we didn't have invulnerability on, wouldn't be a very realistic mission to have to respawn huh ? Server junkies might disagree with my idea of a realistic mission though .. LMAO
rlogue Posted May 30, 2006 Posted May 30, 2006 the game need training weapon what can lock but don't fire I am not too sure about missiles, but you can always do what they do in real life training for guns practice. Go up with you're two - fourship flight, split up and call "fights on". You bring up you're gun reticle and dogfight. You agree to rules of engagement such as tracking kills only. So basically you get on a guys 6, as long as you are in plane with him and can track the retical on him. You call out "guns guns guns" "Tracking kill F-15 maneuvering angels 10" or something of that nature. He acknowledges and you reset the fight. Not as fun as blowing people up, but if you are simulating training and don't want people in youre flight respawning (You took off in a four ship / you want to return in a fourship), it's very realistic to train this way. In real life, they do much the same thing with missiles also .. but I couldn't tell you much about the rules of that type of engagement. Falcon does have a simulate mode for weapons, but as stated above, it's not really necessary. Biggest disadvantage is that it's easy to accidentally shoot ! lol
GGTharos Posted May 30, 2006 Posted May 30, 2006 Yep, you'd need some CATM's for that. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Reminder: SAM = Speed Bump :D I used to play flight sims like you, but then I took a slammer to the knee - Yoda

LMAO You use invulner. that is the closest we/you will get to training weapons in LO. ED has more important things on their plate then some of these request that people want.
thesystem Posted May 30, 2006 Posted May 30, 2006 what you could do is just lock and then when you are behind him just shout through your radio like lock lock or something DCS World, A10C, AV8B, M2k, FA18C, FC3, MIG21

ED has more important things on their plate then some of these request that people want. I would call this inaccurate. My impression is that ED wishes to model aircraft accurately. The training modes of those aircraft will likely be modelled also if at all possible. I would -imagine- that anything that has to do with the fighter aircrafts however will not really be touched on until the 'fighter' project. See, this is what we like to hear . . . . . . . . . not one mention of the word "Destroyer" anywhere in that sentence :P Oh, good thinking on the training modes too! http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v121/britgliderpilot/BS2Britgliderpilot-1.jpg
nscode Posted May 30, 2006 Posted May 30, 2006 the game need training weapon what can lock but don't fire remap your fire button :) Never forget that World War III was not Cold for most of us.

Guest Cali Posted May 30, 2006 Posted May 30, 2006 I still don't think it will happen, but that's just me talking. I don't think it's that important to ED to add missiles that don't shoot. BUT like I have said before you never know maybe they will throw that in BS or a patch. I'm not high strung, I have been feeling really good the last 3-4 days. I just need to get my computer running again so I can fly.
rudek Posted May 30, 2006 Author Posted May 30, 2006 Reply i was f-16 mechanic in iaf , in training missions the plane have one training missile or water bombs mk-87. pilot can put any data to the weapon computer [mk-82/83/84 cbu...] and is give him bomb line in the hud even if bombs not loaded is good addon for the game training missions
Guest Cali Posted May 30, 2006 Posted May 30, 2006 Why dont you just train with the weapons thats in the game. If it is because you dont want to die from the missiles, then simulate them being fired like many people have said. The A2G weapons I see no need to simulate this, just drop them and watch the bang. I just don't get the purpose of trying add this into LO now, to me it is pointless.
Weta43 Posted May 31, 2006 Posted May 31, 2006 I agree with Cali, the extra work so that some people can pull the trigger & have nothing happen, when they could either just not pull the trigger or pull it & use immortal settings would be a diversion from improvements that actualy have a usefull function. Cheers.
