Skate Zilla's F-86F Liveries and WIP Thread

Just a question for you SkateZilla,

 

Before I start creating a bunch of metal liveries for the Sabre, will actual PBR be implemented in v2.5? I'd rather only have to convert 3, when the time comes.

Errrr... Uhm... Skate, are you sure you've uploaded correct files? Your Sabres (at least fromt he weathered pack) are being rendered super dark and look as if they were just pulled out of a bucket of oil mixed with coal dust :D. Not to mention steel parts (gun ports, nozzle shroud etc.) being lighter than aluminium ones.

Out of curiosity, are you running a low Gamma or Tone Mapper Adjustment?

No tonemapper fix, Gamma 1.5, mission set for December, 1300 hours. Still, all default and Rick's skins display correctly (i.e. much lighter).

That Might be it, Lower Gamma Amplifies the Shadowing and Dirt, I Run the Default 2.2

 

Once the F-86F Model gets a Roughness/Metallic Map from BST I can add those to the liveries, as they have dirt/shadowing in separate layer.

 

I will go over the spec files again and ensure they display properly for varied gamma this week and update files.

If Anyone else is having problems, I will pull them until the F-86F Gets Roughness Maps.

Just a note,

All My Liveries will be Revisited this summer and re-done to integrate Roughness / Metallic Maps and those will be converted to New Specular Files to use during the interm. time until the Sabre gets RoughMets enabled by BST.

 

I Realize since DCS 2.2, the Polished Liveries look too Artificial, the Weathered ones look too matte and the there's mixed results w/ the Camo Liveries.

 

These issues will all be fixed by using new RoughMet Maps and Specular Maps.
