S77th-konkussion Posted June 4, 2006 Posted June 4, 2006 Externals "ON" Map view "ON" Labels are available (Shift F10 to kill em) Padlock "ON" Easy radar- FUGGETABOUDIT!!! Regular stock mission. 2 sides. Teamspeak channel is 66.165.113.50 Join it- If any trainers or mentors get on & want to help- they will be on it. Don't expect training via the chat function. read the briefing, please. This mission can only run for about 4 hours. If the BLUE naval group survives- it kinda takes over the entire scene- this means RED is somewhat screwed at this point.. So RED SU 33's- Get together with some MOSKITS and take em out!! :pilotfly: :joystick: :pilotfly: :joystick: :pilotfly: :joystick: 2 [sIGPIC]http://forums.eagle.ru/attachment.php?attachmentid=43337&d=1287169113[/sIGPIC]
Weta43 Posted June 4, 2006 Posted June 4, 2006 Good on yah If you're still doing it at the end of the week (after the cable guys been) Cheers.
Rhen Posted June 4, 2006 Posted June 4, 2006 Cheers to the 77th! It's a wonderful way to get the noobs up to speed and let them have some fun, learn, and get hooked on this great sim. I'd also encourage those people who are "old heads" to show up on teamspeak and help out. It's a refreshing experience and will give you an idea on how LOFC missiles work (DISCLAIMER: not necessarily IRL missiles) and how they can be defeated (in LOFC). It's a good learning experience for all! Nice job 77th! Keep up the good work!
S77th-GOYA Posted June 4, 2006 Posted June 4, 2006 I'd also encourage those people who are "old heads" to show up on teamspeak and help out. I've been in our public TS channel for about 2 hours and so far no one has joined it. To quote one of the great lines in cinema history, "Chump don't want no help, chump don't get no help." "Smack 'em, yack 'em." My apologies to those that don't speak jive. ;-) 1
Weta43 Posted June 4, 2006 Posted June 4, 2006 I'd join for the lesson if 1/ my broadband was set up yet 2/ I wasn't at work... Cheers.
Sleek Posted June 4, 2006 Posted June 4, 2006 Easy radar- FUGGETABOUDIT!!! Lmao! good on ya S77th ;) Be Good..Be Strong..:drink: ;)
S77th-GOYA Posted June 4, 2006 Posted June 4, 2006 The server has just been rotated to a fresh map, but I have left TS. You're on your own. Have fun.
Ironhand Posted June 4, 2006 Posted June 4, 2006 Great fun! Thanks. And thanks also to the gentlemen who handed my head to me on several occasions--both while I was in the A-10 and the Sue. :) Rich YouTube Channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCU1...CR6IZ7crfdZxDg _____ Win 11 Pro x64, Asrock Z790 Steel Legend MoBo, Intel i7-13700K, MSI RKT 4070 Super 12GB, Corsair Dominator DDR5 RAM 32GB.
S77th-konkussion Posted June 5, 2006 Author Posted June 5, 2006 Alright- ole Bessy is back to normal- hope y'all had fun. For the first timers today- hopefully you think that online play is a hoot and a half, and know you know that you CAN do this- you CAN fly against others, you CAN react to various tactical problems, and guess what ?- You CAN do this without the easier settings on, too. We'll do this again sometime soon. I can run a carrier ops & refeuling room (weapons free) I can run regular stuff and turn off labels for a bit- to take steps to learning how to point & use the radar. Whatever. Feel free to post ideas here or at our site. (keep it relatively simple, lol) [sIGPIC]http://forums.eagle.ru/attachment.php?attachmentid=43337&d=1287169113[/sIGPIC]

thesystem Posted June 5, 2006 Posted June 5, 2006 I think i will give a try, my first time on a real server then! DCS World, A10C, AV8B, M2k, FA18C, FC3, MIG21
Guest Cali Posted June 5, 2006 Posted June 5, 2006 Couldn't get one w/out flames coming from his plane. :megalol: Do you ever work?
S77th-konkussion Posted June 5, 2006 Author Posted June 5, 2006 I think i will give a try, my first time on a real server then! There you go- just do it. [sIGPIC]http://forums.eagle.ru/attachment.php?attachmentid=43337&d=1287169113[/sIGPIC]
Guest Cali Posted June 5, 2006 Posted June 5, 2006 I'm going to classes this week. Aren't you supposed to be replacing fuel lines or somthing? :music_whistling: Nope, I'm on the launch truck this week, we sit around and wait for them to call us with a job (jet with a problem). So I'm just checking the forums and browsing the net.
Brit_Radar_Dude Posted June 5, 2006 Posted June 5, 2006 It's gonna be 108 todayCut it out RuGG, we're STILL waiting for the Summer weather to arrive over here in the UK. Us Brits run screaming indoors looking for sunscreen when it goes anything over 68 degrees - LOL 1 [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Sorry Death, you lose! It was Professor Plum....
S77th-GOYA Posted June 6, 2006 Posted June 6, 2006 A question for the newer pilots out there. Which would you rather see on a server, external views, map view with all units visible or labels?
Guest Cali Posted June 6, 2006 Posted June 6, 2006 When I was new I wanted to see the map view. What do you mean "When I was new" :music_whistling:
Gunja Posted June 6, 2006 Posted June 6, 2006 A question for the newer pilots out there. Which would you rather see on a server, external views, map view with all units visible or labels? I guess the best for noob server would be external YES, map YES, padlock YES, labels NO. my 0,2$
S77th-konkussion Posted June 6, 2006 Author Posted June 6, 2006 I guess the best for noob server would be external YES, map YES, padlock YES, labels NO. my 0,2$ I like that idea- as I am part of this little conspiracy to wean these guys off labels. Plus if they continually cycle the map view- the game will crash. (it used to anyway) :P [sIGPIC]http://forums.eagle.ru/attachment.php?attachmentid=43337&d=1287169113[/sIGPIC]

S77th-GOYA Posted June 6, 2006 Posted June 6, 2006 We just set the server up how our members wanted to play, because they were the ones paying for it. There's absolutely nothing wrong with that. However, the S77th is trying to be more helpful to the newer members of the community or even older members who have not played online. We are donating the use of our server in an effort to expand the currently meager online community. Most of the day, we were available on TS to answer questions. As a pleasant surprise, we even had Ironhand on TS helping out. (Thanks, Rich) We will likely be doing it again soon. So rugg and Cali, if you have anything you'd like to contribute to the noob community, join up on TS. Or you could just spam the next thread too. 1
