Maciver Posted June 5, 2006 Posted June 5, 2006 Hey guys, Just a couple of questions. First of all, i just bought a track IR 4! yay. Any tips you guys got for me before it gets here? lol Second, i guess im retarted. :) I can't figure out how to make replays..lol Is there a way to watch a mission you just completed? I would like to watch some of them after i'm done. To see what i did wrong, or just to see the dogfights. hehe :joystick:
Shaman Posted June 6, 2006 Posted June 6, 2006 Don't press FLY!, instead RECORD your flight - hit CTRL+R while in mission editor, or choose the option from the upper menu. After the mission's over you'll be asked under which filename you want to record your flight. 51PVO Founding member (DEC2007-) 100KIAP Founding member (DEC2018-) :: Shaman aka [100☭] Shamansky tail# 44 or 444 [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] 100KIAP Regiment Early Warning & Control officer
Maciver Posted June 6, 2006 Author Posted June 6, 2006 Just curious does it take any extra resources to record? What if you choose not to save it, will it screw up your campaign if your in one? My ideal is to just record every one, save it if something cool happens. Then later on i can record it with fraps. Because you can change the views right?

My ideal is to just record every one, save it if something cool happens. Then later on i can record it with fraps. Because you can change the views right? It does take resources. Depending on the power of your machine it may or may not make much difference. But generally speaking, the more that's going on, the more running the recorder will hurt. So experiment and see what happens. You might end up having to set some of your graphics settings lower while recording. However, you can then turn them back up for viewing. There is one EXCEPTION to this: the SCENES setting must be left where you want it in the end. It can't be altered for playback. You can change external views, etc as long as they are enabled in the Difficulties settings in the first place. If they should be turned off for a recording, there is/was a utility available to alter those settings in the track file. But the name escapes me at the moment. Tracker Posted June 7, 2006 Posted June 7, 2006 Replay Tracks As I recall saving the track has minimal impact even on multiplayer missions even on my old AMD1700+. Also, use the Video Edit to make alterations to a previously recorded track. This will let you make changes to camera angles (including in cockpit) and resave as a new file. Once you have the camera angles set the way you like you can have LOMAC render it as an AVI directly. (Now that will take some resources) Search these forums for other threads regarding making movies. When all else fails, Eject then read the manual. Oh, and a good wingman helps.

Yeah, or just use FRAPS and record realtime, like i do. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCgJRhtnqA-67pKmQ3A2GsgA ED youtube channel https://www.facebook.com/glowingamraam My facebook page
