Has anyone had issues with deploying the drag chute? I've lost the ability to do this. At first I thought it was just a binding issue, but even mousing the button does nothing. I haven't had the time to really take a close look at this. Do the chute system need to be armed now?

I don't test for bugs, but when I do I do it in production.

That's very weird because yesterday I had the same problem, couldn't deploy the chute at all. Tried today and it works. So this was not in my head only lol. Don't know what I did..

I've had something like two successful deployments. The rest of the time I'm swearing and mashing the button as I reef the brake handle trying to stop before the end of the runway. I'm not sure if it's a bug of a malfunction somewhere between the flight stick and the seat.

May I suggest you check main pneumatic pressure gauge next time, because

the drag chute fairings and drag chute is operated by main pneu system.

In other words put your L/G handle back in neutral position after take off :book:

Yeah tested again, can't deploy the chute. I think it is not a pneumatic pressure problem, tried to deploy during take off.

I was just flying 10min ago, works fine for me.

Anyway be sure not to open in above 320kph or it wil get ripped right off.

Have you checked it in 1.5 Beta??

Quoting from here: http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=2464034&postcount=1

Improved drag chute physics, including chute use in stall/spin recovery (Animation is however still limited)

So it should open above that speed also. More than that is not a problem of ripping off is a problem of not deploying at all and this can be checked in external view. Also the landing gear lever is placed in neutral and the problem of loosing pressure would appear for long flights in which the brake lever and other leaking devices might have been used but, I had the problem for merely pattern around the airfield or once an aborted take off.

Yeah it ain't working for me either, I blew up a couple times cause it wouldn't come out on landing so I tried popping the chute immediately as I entered a mission and it's still not deploying. Pretty sure its a bug.

Must be some strange problem then, as I just fired up three first MiG instant missions a few minutes ago, clicked the button with the mouse (don't have my HOTAS plugged in) and the chute deployed in all cases (was torn off immediately when the plane was flying, but still, it did deploy).
