Hey Silver Dragon! Currently our goal is to add the external model into DCS 1.5 as a private mod/3D model for the aerobatics team. In addition, we'll probably do some tweaks on the SFM to give it more true to life flight dynamics, and we're also considering giving it internal cockpit model.

This should be moved to what if screenshot section. If the mod is to keep it in private hands move to that post as is what it was created for.

I don't understand anything in russian except Davai Davai!

Is the development of a PRIVATE 3d model. This is the mod section, and should focus on mods planned to be released.

Stratos, check the entirety of this thread. I can assure you it is not full of 3rd party developers that are preparing to release their modifications to the world. Modeling is a tedious task and sharing progress with the community to receive feedback and other comments is the most basic thing that a 3D modeler can do to 'share' it with the community. If you really don't like the thread, there's plenty of other forum topics I'm sure will cast your interest.

Hey guys, here's another update. But first a quick question:

I'm using dummies and IK solvers in 3DSMax to lock the rotating axis of various objects and to animate more complex moving parts (with arg-based controllers). Does the EDM format support this or do I need to approach it differently? Don't want to waste any time on this one =)

I've refined the slats and working on the animation right now:

And I have another question about that. When you look at this video, the slats automatically move according to AoA and/or speed. Is it possible to script this in the current SFM or LUA setup?

Thanx,

If you see FC3 modules, you see automatic movements of slat... eg Mig-29 The answere it's Yes!

Edit:

Thanks Gaanalma, good news. Do all the arguments have fixed numbers? And if so, where could I find a list? Now I'm just numbering 1 through 10...

I can model a decent simulator aircraft, but I'm a total noob in importing it into DCS.

You must know that... all animation in DCS have a argument in 3DS Max. If you animate a mobile surface whit wrong argument, It does not work!

To use your model in DCS, you must export whit correct arguments animations in EDM whit ED Tools...
