Rangi Posted October 5, 2015 Posted October 5, 2015 Looking good. I would love one of these is DCS. PC: 6600K @ 4.5 GHz, 12GB RAM, GTX 970, 32" 2K monitor.
Silver_Dragon Posted October 5, 2015 Posted October 5, 2015 New MOD project? For Work/Gaming: 28" Philips 246E Monitor - Ryzen 7 1800X - 32 GB DDR4 - nVidia RTX1080 - SSD 860 EVO 1 TB / 860 QVO 1 TB / 860 QVO 2 TB - Win10 Pro - TM HOTAS Warthog / TPR / MDF
FoReIgNeR Posted October 5, 2015 Author Posted October 5, 2015 Hey Silver Dragon! Currently our goal is to add the external model into DCS 1.5 as a private mod/3D model for the aerobatics team. In addition, we'll probably do some tweaks on the SFM to give it more true to life flight dynamics, and we're also considering giving it internal cockpit model. FoReIgNeR Posted October 5, 2015 Author Posted October 5, 2015 And she's still work in progress, next item on the list is animating the movables =) [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Limitless Aerobatics Team Facebook

didilman Posted October 5, 2015 Posted October 5, 2015 (edited) How to get the model in private? You can PM me I can get involved new models are good for DCS. Was looking Yak-130 last day and wondering >why they didnt do that?< Edited October 5, 2015 by didilman
FoReIgNeR Posted October 5, 2015 Author Posted October 5, 2015 Hey didilman, at this point we are not planning to do a public release of the M-346 mod to the community. But if we will at some point in the future you'll be the first to know =) Stay tuned to this thread for more progress updates and pictures! [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Limitless Aerobatics Team Facebook

FoxHoundELite Posted October 7, 2015 Posted October 7, 2015 why the best mod planes for DCS always lies on ...private mods ? T_T Feel the Rush of Superior Air Power [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Stratos Posted October 7, 2015 Posted October 7, 2015 This should be moved to what if screenshot section. If the mod is to keep it in private hands move to that post as is what it was created for. I don't understand anything in russian except Davai Davai!
FoReIgNeR Posted October 7, 2015 Author Posted October 7, 2015 I disagree. At this point in time this thread purely focuses on the development/progress of the 3D model of the aircraft. Once that's finished and the bird is neatly textured, imported and flying in DCS, we'll move posts to the what-if thread. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Limitless Aerobatics Team Facebook
Stratos Posted October 7, 2015 Posted October 7, 2015 Is the development of a PRIVATE 3d model. This is the mod section, and should focus on mods planned to be released. I don't understand anything in russian except Davai Davai!
FoReIgNeR Posted October 7, 2015 Author Posted October 7, 2015 It's the '3D modeling' section of the 'Mods and Apps' subforum. I don't see a fitter place to post the progress of the 3D model of a Mod =) [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Limitless Aerobatics Team Facebook
jamiemunn5665 Posted October 7, 2015 Posted October 7, 2015 Stratos, check the entirety of this thread. I can assure you it is not full of 3rd party developers that are preparing to release their modifications to the world. Modeling is a tedious task and sharing progress with the community to receive feedback and other comments is the most basic thing that a 3D modeler can do to 'share' it with the community. If you really don't like the thread, there's plenty of other forum topics I'm sure will cast your interest. 1 | Hawk Limitless Aerobatics
Stratos Posted October 7, 2015 Posted October 7, 2015 Wathever run your boat guys, private stuff should be keep private. But don't worry will not enter this post again. I don't understand anything in russian except Davai Davai!
FoReIgNeR Posted October 7, 2015 Author Posted October 7, 2015 Thanks Stratos! Here's a pic of todays progress. Unified the model and will start on the asymmetric parts the coming days (asymmetric APU exhaust, underside air vents, etc.). Enjoy! [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Limitless Aerobatics Team Facebook
FoReIgNeR Posted October 8, 2015 Author Posted October 8, 2015 Hey guys, here's another update. But first a quick question: I'm using dummies and IK solvers in 3DSMax to lock the rotating axis of various objects and to animate more complex moving parts (with arg-based controllers). Does the EDM format support this or do I need to approach it differently? Don't want to waste any time on this one =) I've refined the slats and working on the animation right now: And I have another question about that. When you look at this video, the slats automatically move according to AoA and/or speed. Is it possible to script this in the current SFM or LUA setup? Gaanalma Posted October 8, 2015 Posted October 8, 2015 (edited) If you see FC3 modules, you see automatic movements of slat... eg Mig-29 The answere it's Yes! Edit: Arguments 13 for Right Slat and 14 for Left Slat movements (0 retract - 1 Extended) Edited October 8, 2015 by Gaanalma [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] www.36stormovirtuale.net
FoReIgNeR Posted October 8, 2015 Author Posted October 8, 2015 (edited) Thanks Gaanalma, good news. Do all the arguments have fixed numbers? And if so, where could I find a list? Now I'm just numbering 1 through 10... I can model a decent simulator aircraft, but I'm a total noob in importing it into DCS. Gaanalma Posted October 8, 2015 Posted October 8, 2015 (edited) See this PDF http://forums.eagle.ru/attachment.php?attachmentid=94561&d=1392706180 You must know that... all animation in DCS have a argument in 3DS Max. If you animate a mobile surface whit wrong argument, It does not work! To use your model in DCS, you must export whit correct arguments animations in EDM whit ED Tools... http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=86205 Enjoy Edited October 8, 2015 by Gaanalma [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] www.36stormovirtuale.net
