DCS/ Display Driver Crash on start

I've installed the open beta via steam. When I start it up, it gives me the new splash screen, and in 10 seconds, my pc says display driver has stopped and recovered. Then it say the program needs to close. My graphics card is an Radeon 5450. I've reinstalled drivers, reinstalled DCS, uninstalled modules, cleared saved games.

 

Edit, I've removed the original video card and am using the built in dvi port. I still get an error, but no graphic driver has stopped notification.

Same problem. But i have amd radeon 7400 m with dx 11. 1

could you post your system spec please.

I recently had clean reinstall of Win7(2 months ago), updated WIN7 all the way to latest patches.

I have all redistributable C++ files (except 2005)

DX11 version is installed.

Uninstalled 1.2.16 completely (an removed user files completely).

Installed 1.5 beta (on disk other then Win7, disk D in my case).

Also I have a few games on my PC and all of them start without a problem.

Unfortunately 1.5 beta gives me black screen (no sound ), changes resolution if I alt+tab while in black screen, and that is about it.

First time I installed 1.5 using its installer (a few hours after it became available) - resulted in black screen right after start.

Then I downloaded all files from your website (used torrent) and installed it again - black screen.

No idea what to do next, throwing white towel.

My PC is 2500 i5, Asus Motherboard P67, AMD R9290 GPU, sound onboard.

To access your PC’s System Information on Windows XP, Windows Vista or Windows 7:

1. Click Start > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > System Information

2. Click File > Save

3. Save the the NFO file as your name. Choose a save location that will be easy to find later, such as the Desktop.

 

To access your PC’s System Information on Windows 8:

1. Go to the the Desktop.

2. Press [WinLogoKey] + R to bring up 'Run'.

3. Type 'msinfo32' without quotes.

4. Press the [Enter] key.

5. Click File, Save the NFO file as your name.

 

IMPORTANT: Do not use File > Export.

Okay. It seems my PC is a bit under spec for EDGE( I never noticed that the graphics requirements had changed.)

yeah, I am afraid your machine is gonna be a little under powered going forward...

So, a lack of power is causing the crash?

It very well could be... if the sim is asking more out of your computer than it has to give.
