Shaman Posted October 20, 2015 Posted October 20, 2015 (edited) All AI aircraft are abnormally pitching up to maintain level flight. Almost in all missions. Edit: Is there a way to read their airspeed in external views? Looney Posted October 20, 2015 Posted October 20, 2015 Eehm, their airspeed is in the bottom left of the screenshots? [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Commodore 64 | MOS6510 | VIC-II | SID6581 | DD 1541 | KCS Power Cartridge | 64Kb | 32Kb external | Arcade Turbo
Shaman Posted October 20, 2015 Author Posted October 20, 2015 Nope, that must be ground speed. So is in the mission editor when you edit way points, always been so, since Flanker 1.0 51PVO Founding member (DEC2007-) 100KIAP Founding member (DEC2018-) :: Shaman aka [100☭] Shamansky tail# 44 or 444 [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] 100KIAP Regiment Early Warning & Control officer
Looney Posted October 21, 2015 Posted October 21, 2015 Well, either way the wind at altitude is a huge storm blowing in from the tail at 700 km/h otherwise I can't explain the pitch up attitude. Strange behavior at first sight indeed. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Commodore 64 | MOS6510 | VIC-II | SID6581 | DD 1541 | KCS Power Cartridge | 64Kb | 32Kb external | Arcade Turbo
WildBillKelsoe Posted October 21, 2015 Posted October 21, 2015 are their flaps extended? AWAITING ED NEW DAMAGE MODEL IMPLEMENTATION FOR WW2 BIRDS Fat T is above, thin T is below. Long T is faster, Short T is slower. Open triangle is AWACS, closed triangle is your own sensors. Double dash is friendly, Single dash is enemy. Circle is friendly. Strobe is jammer. Strobe to dash is under 35 km. HDD is 7 times range key. Radar to 160 km, IRST to 10 km. Stay low, but never slow.

Nealius Posted October 21, 2015 Posted October 21, 2015 Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the speed displayed is TAS? 1. 380KTAS @ 29,527ft = 242KCAS 2. 265KTAS @ 24,606ft = 181KCAS 3. 405KTAS @ 22,966ft = 289KCAS At those airspeeds/altitudes such an AoA would be normal, no?
