ruffles Posted October 30, 2015 Posted October 30, 2015 (edited) Hi, When I start the DCS Open Beta 1.5 I can see that xx_protect.dll (A10_protect.dll, mi8_protect.dll, K50_protect.dl...) is running on disk alone for more than 10 minutes each. Finally I got the error attached and the SIM starts after more than 30 minutes... ONce the SIM is started if I have to restart it only takes a few seconds... the problem is for the first start only... Thanks in advance... Edited October 30, 2015 by ruffles

joey45 Posted October 31, 2015 Posted October 31, 2015 Does it work without the modules? The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance. AtaliaA1 Posted November 1, 2015 Posted November 1, 2015 In most cases it has been the overclock that causes issues. Some have had to remove the Overclock settings to get better startup time. ED Team BIGNEWY Posted November 1, 2015 ED Team Posted November 1, 2015 Do a repair and try running without any addons 3rd party software to see if it makes a difference. Try renaming your dcs.openbeta saved games folder and letting open beta create a new one when you restart it. Redo your setting in options. Let us know how you get on. Forum rules - DCS Crashing? ruffles Posted November 1, 2015 Author Posted November 1, 2015 Thanks for your reply joey45. Without 3rd modules it takes less time becasue it have to execute the a10c_protect.dll only. However it takes 5 or more mnitues to start.
