Gary Posted November 2, 2015 Posted November 2, 2015 Have you tried forcing full screen (Lalt+Enter) on the menu screen too? I5 - 1TB SSHD, 256 SSD - Nvidia 1070 - 16gb ram - CV1
sFalcon Posted November 2, 2015 Author Posted November 2, 2015 (edited) Have you tried forcing full screen (Lalt+Enter) on the menu screen too? Yes, im only playing in fullscreen mode.. i get only 18fps in the menu now Edited November 2, 2015 by sFalcon [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] _______ sFalcon.
Ranbi2Delta Posted November 2, 2015 Posted November 2, 2015 Try selecting one of the wallpapers on the modules at the bottom. This may be because the cloud render is killing your frames. "What's that goat doing up here in the clouds?"
sFalcon Posted November 3, 2015 Author Posted November 3, 2015 (edited) Try selecting one of the wallpapers on the modules at the bottom. This may be because the cloud render is killing your frames. This fixed the problem. But i think the menu should be running smooth with a decent system. Edited November 5, 2015 by sFalcon [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] _______ sFalcon.
TAW_Impalor Posted November 10, 2015 Posted November 10, 2015 Funny thing just happened. I finally risked upgrading my video driver from 332.21 to 358.91. Yes, my driver was 2 years old, but anything newer was giving me random BSODs at the time, so I rolled back. This menu screen with clouds used to run at 130 FPS, but now only at 19! 19, Carl!!! In game FPS are 5-10 lower as well. I did a proper wipe with DDU, all video settings stayed the same. Way to go, Nvidia... 12900KF@5.4, 32GB DDR4@4000cl14g1, 4090, M.2, W10 Pro, Warthog HOTAS, ButtKicker, Reverb G2/OpenXR

I think the new drivers only cater to their newest cards, screwing up older models. Sporg Posted November 12, 2015 Posted November 12, 2015 I am running an older driver version as well, 340.52 Have quite good FPS on a GTX 670 OC, much better than I expected. System specs: Gigabyte Aorus Master, i7 9700K@std, GTX 1080TI OC, 32 GB 3000 MHz RAM, NVMe M.2 SSD, Oculus Quest VR (2x1600x1440) Warthog HOTAS w/150mm extension, Slaw pedals, Gametrix Jetseat, TrackIR for monitor use
Laines Posted February 1, 2016 Posted February 1, 2016 So i did a little bit of testing and it turned out that the drivers up to version 347.25 do not experience that issue. Testing done on GTX 660 and Wndows 7 64-bit. However the driver release date seems to not match version progress which is strange.
Wolf Rider Posted February 1, 2016 Posted February 1, 2016 if you're running a 4770K you are more than likely on D77 chipset too ( which, as we all know, is a chipset which should never have been released) and whilst many have run this chipset - none have complained about a "slow menu". It has NOTHING to do with various VGA driver releases When listing specs... could you please list all the specs?
