enigma6584 Posted December 3, 2015 Author Posted December 3, 2015 "3, engage bandits" "3, negative" :D Little question: why dropping flares during '29 radar illumination? Bye Phant I didn't know if the aircraft was targeting me or one of the AI wingmen. I also wasn't sure if it was close enough and had launched ET's or 60s or 73s. So just to be safe I pumped out some flares etc. in the hope that if those missiles were indeed coming at me maybe a flare would save my ass. I also, as you may have noticed really stayed low and tried to put a hill or mountain wall between me and those Mig-29A's. Frankly, I was surprised that we all survived. In flying this variation and the others during testing, I've died more than I survived. Mission is very randomized. There are Igla teams placed around target as well but they are randomized to only show up under certain conditions etc. This particular flight they were not there...much to my delight. :smilewink:
Gunnergolly Posted December 3, 2015 Posted December 3, 2015 Very interesting video. What key's are used to raise or lower the HUD glass in the SU-25 ?. I must be blind because i can't find them. Thanks. Win 11 Home 64Bit, i7-13700K@5.2Ghz Water Cooled, 32 Gb RAM, PNY RTX4090, Pimax Crystal, Quest Pro, Realsimulator FSSB R3 ULTRA, Virpil/Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS combo, MFG Crosswind Pedals.
Eight Ball Posted December 4, 2015 Posted December 4, 2015 (edited) Great video ! I really enjoyed the mix of 1st person and exterior views. Too few people do that IMO. But if I may, I would suggest to avoid "breaking the time flow". What I mean is we see you doing something in 1st person view and then you "rewind" and show us the same action with an external camera. You should try to have a continuous time flow. For example, a shot of you leaving the hanger in 1st person and then a shot of your wingmen leaving their hanger with an external cam. Of course you can "cheat". i.e. a 1st person shot of you taking where you cut just after your gear leave the ground and external one just before they do, with the rest of the takeoff. Or like you did with the special ops footage. In my opinion, that works better. Because you provide the viewer with "justification" for breaking the time flow. Well, that's just my 2 cents, don't read to much into this. Like I said I really enjoyed the video :) Edited December 4, 2015 by Eight Ball Find The Links To All My Mods And Liveries Here (in the gallery)

I must be blind because i can't find them. Thanks. I'll have to get back to you. I don't know off-hand because I've got them mapped to my HOTAS system, one of the buttons which wouldn't be used for anything else. Lowering the HUD glass makes a big difference in the angle in which your gun/bomb pipper shows up. Most helpful with a lower angle attack. :pilotfly:

I will experiment with your tips but warn you my movie editing skills are extremely basic, thus the reason for why my movies are the way they are. :pilotfly: I'm learning but it is a slow process.
kontiuka Posted December 6, 2015 Posted December 6, 2015 Hi. Started to watch it and it looked good from what I saw but I didn't like the volume of the RWR so I couldn't watch it any more. :(
